Questions for this shipment:

Question: How bad is he injured? Can he move about? (11/30/2007)
Response: yes, he can walk to go outside to do his business but the vet doesn't want him jumping. He has a pin in his leg because he dislocated his hip. He's a sweetheart and a great rider but can't fly just yet. (11/30/2007)
Response: ok thanks..whats your time frame? I'm going to be up in albany probably tuesday morning then on to buffalo. I'm already putting a return load together headed back south, but itd probably be a week before i hit florida. He be quite comfy...I have a rather large camper/sleeper in my truck..including an easy chair. I have aitter at home..only he thinks he's a 70 lb lap dog..all I would need is his leash. (11/30/2007)
Response: Rocky has to get released by his vet and he won't be released until one week from now on December 6th for traveling. Rocky also has a chair of his own but he can't get it in right now. You never said anything about price?? There's no rush for him to get there as long as he's happy! We will fly down on December 14th so he has to be picked up before then. He does have a suit case of stuff--the doctor wants him to swim so he has a life jacket. Sue (11/30/2007)
Response: ok...whats this about a chair?? and.. well as foe the price...hit me with a number. (11/30/2007)
Question: Sue...ya gotta stick around long enough to get my answers..lol (11/30/2007)
Response: Sorry about that--we go out to eat fish on Friday nights so I was rushing out the door when you wrote. Rocky has a recliner in every place where we go and he loves to get in them and hang his head over the side. He can't do that now because of his leg and he's most distressed. I don't know how much money to offer because I've never done anything like this before. Before Rocky had his accident and we decided to fly him I had put a inquiry on uship and I had 2 quotes--one for $500 and one was $450. My husband is nervous about sending Rocky with someone we have never met. What can you tell me about yourself? Sue (11/30/2007)
Response: Well...lets see how can I do this in 10,000 words or less. And where the whole Uship world won't know my inner most secrets..lol. I'm married, Live in Pittsburgh, am 56...on occassion, I feel 156. I started Federated Couriers 7 years ago and I'm currently chief cook and bottle washer. I was raised "common folk" with a deep sense of knowing right from wrong and plain ol common sense...both seem in short supply nowadays. I Have 2 1/8 dogs athome (my wife's shiz zu only counts as 1/8 of a dog...and as dumb as a rock..and I know from experience...its hard...really hard, to be away from your very best friend. Sam, a spitz, gone now some 12 years, was my absolute best friend..and to this day I miss him something awful and daym..it hurts still..sorry, I still can't think about him without crying like a baby...it was just him and I for 15 1/2 years and in all that time..we were apart exactly 2 weeks. "The more I know people, the better I like my dogs"..don't know who said it but I agree (11/30/2007)
Response: Tom Brokaw said that about dogs and I so agree. WE have our headstone done and on the back I put an engraving of my last dog--a collie named Tugger who stuck to me like glue. You didn't say anything about the money?? I'm working tomorrow from 5 a.m. until 5 p.m. so am about to shut off my computer and won't be on again until Sunday morning. I'm retired but work as an advanced emergency medical technician part time because I really love the people I serve. The husband wants to know how many dogs you'll be taking South? He so worries about our "baby." You can write to him at lawrencrj@juno.com if you'd like to. Sue (11/30/2007)
Response: how many dogs?? 1. I don't usually ship animals, but I'm a soft touch for hard luck cases. as for the price...you name it...seriously. no joke. (11/30/2007)
Response: I just received another bid from someone who wants $400 and I feel that is a very good price. He can't pick Rocky up until the 16th and we're supposed to fly out on the 14th. My husband is very concerned about Rocky being on the road for a week with his bad hip. Your accomodations sound good to me for Rocky so at this point he and I are not in agreement. Do you have any references we can contact? We have gotten stuck so many times in Florida with people who have done work for us that Dick is very leery when it comes to our baby. Thanks for understanding! No ambulance calls at all today! Sue (12/1/2007)
Response: as for references..I suppoce you could read my feedback..all of them. and for the price...i could go lower...much lower. Rocky would be my companion for a short time as well as vice versa. shoot me a number but remember...I'm a soft touch for hard luck cases...especially whenit comes to dogs. (12/1/2007)
Response: I don't know how to go to feedback so help me out as to what I need to do! Will write again tomorrow a.m. because we're heading out before we get 14 inches of snow--egads I wish I had headed to Florida sooner. (12/1/2007)
Response: just click on my name...probably blue highlighted... (12/1/2007)
Question: with it 100%.Believe me, I know exactly how you and your husband feel about Rocky...been there..done that. I think for the week or so Rocky would be with me, both he and I would benefit. I'd have a riding companion, and he'd get a ride home. Parting hurts big time..but the reunion...ain't nothing else like it. as for my price??? How do I put a price on someone's best friend? I leave that to you. (11/30/2007)
Question: 14" of snow...don't even want to hear it...I live in Pittsburgh so I know its coming real soon... (12/1/2007)
Question: Did you find it? (12/1/2007)
Response: Nope, I'm totally new at this but I think we are going to go with your offer. What do we do now? Rocky does not have a cage because we were waiting to buy it once he got his health certificate and of course that didn't happen. He has a ramp that he has to use to get in and out of a vehicle which we just bought. Sue (12/1/2007)
Response: can you give me 15 minutes...will be at a rest area and will continue this there? (12/1/2007)
Question: 2 miles...please stand by...ready to type..lol (12/1/2007)
Question: ok..ready to get down to some negociating (ok..I can't spell it) you have one bid of 400...hit me with a number, but keep in mind...the wife says I'm easy.. (am standing by) (12/1/2007)
Question: Screen icon shows you still logged on..you still there? (12/1/2007)
Question: ok...seems like the lights are on but nobodys home.. (12/1/2007)
Response: We went and just got back and you were right--I left the computer on. I often do when I go out--so what's the deal now? Sue (12/1/2007)
Response: Good morning. before I enter any kind of a bid, just 2 questions. First..what are the possibilities that the vet would release Rocky a couple of days early? Second..I have a pickup to make in Albany Tuesday (hopefully by noon). Would it be possible to meet somewhere in or around the Albany area? It would save me abunch of miles and driving time since I also have a delivery to make in Buffalo same day. (12/2/2007)
Response: I just placed a bid at 400...please accept bid (howardtm) so I can call you. might be out of cell /wireless internet range for a while. Thanks, Howard. (12/2/2007)
Response: Howard, I just received a message from you that I don't understand asking us to meet you in Albany. We already talked with you and explained that Rocky can't be released earlier. His appointment is Friday at 9:30. He can probably be released right after the appointment but he has to have shots also before he heads to Florida. Was this question written before we talked to you? I just received it. I hope there's not going to be a problem because that Veterans place wrote back to say they would have to take care of him outside our house for a couple of days after we leave even though they told me they could pick him up on the 11th or 12th. So we are really counting on you! I read your references after I accepted your bid and I'm really glad you will be taking care of our Rockford. Dick and I have both said that we will send him with you both ways if this works out. Sue (12/3/2007)
