Additional Information:
I have an 8' disc in Flagstaff AZ and a day cab 359 Peterbilt in Farmington NM that I need put on one load and hauled to Paris TX
Questions for this shipment:
Question:
we can move this on an rgn or lowboy trailer for you. i can get this done within a couple of days thanks freighttec-rate below 2985.00 (12/10/2006)
Response:
Can you provide a way to contact you about the load? (12/23/2006)
Question:
What does the dics weigh ? (12/22/2006)
Response:
The disc is supposed to weigh about 6000 lbs and the truck about 16000 lbs. Hopefully the weights are close as they appear to be realistic. Thank you, Jim (12/22/2006)
Question:
Can you split this up into 2 shipments ? I,d drive the truck and haul the disc on another truck. It might help getting the prise down. The truck would have to be insured. The disc would be a seperate bid. 3042 (12/23/2006)
Response:
Hi, I appreciate the thought but they are both going to have to be hauled. The truck hasn't been run in several years so tires, oil, brakes, and all would not be dependable. Thanks again, Jim (12/23/2006)
Question:
i cant give you that info as its against the contract with uship you can accept the bid this will give you my numbers we can talk and if your not happy we can do a bidr retraction and this will not coast anyone anything thanks freight tec (12/26/2006)
Question:
I could get the disc to you reasonable. (12/28/2006)
Response:
What is reasonable? Are you talking about the disc and the truck or just the truck? (1/6/2007)
Question:
I am sorry you are having so much troble getting you goods shipped. I could only haul the dics. (1/6/2007)
Question:
i also thought it might be easier to get them shipped separtly due to the weight. ron (1/6/2007)
Response:
Can you give a price to haul them seperate. Thanks, Jim (1/6/2007)
Question:
I am pretty sure my trailer will not hold the Pete. Only the dics. (1/6/2007)
Response:
Do you want to give me a price on hauling the disc only? If so how much would it be to haul just the disc to Paris, TX? (1/6/2007)
Question:
I am amazed at the bids you have got. $ 800.00 (1/6/2007)
Response:
I don't know what the proper procedure is from here but I would agree to that price. (1/6/2007)
Question:
Sir, I am not ignoring you, other shipper was going to accept but has not. Still waiting. (1/7/2007)
Question:
Hello, I have a couple of questions about your shipment. The disc sounds like no problem as long as there is something there to load it. The question I have is on the 359. Do you think it could be driven or pushed on to a regular flatbed semi-trailer? The stacks would have to come off for sure and maybe the front tires to get it low enough. Do you have any idea on the height of the truck to the top of the cab? I am in AZ right now and would be interested in bidding on this job. I could do it early next week. I wonder how much snow there is in Farmington right now, it might make loading the truck a bit of a challenge. Thank you, mgknowlton (1/11/2007)
Response:
Hi, The dics really shouldn't be any problem as it is at the forest service office right on I-40 and they have a lift there to load it with. The 359 will fit but we would have to take the stack off. It is at a lot between Farmington and Bloomfield and I'm sure that Lonnie could get it loaded. Here in Paris, unloading it would be no problem. Thanks for the interest and let me know if you need any other info. Jim Ferguson (1/11/2007)
Question:
Hello, Thank you for the speedy reply. I am quite interested in bidding on this, I just need to take care of another commitment first. As soon as I can determine exactly when I will be available next week, I will bid. I should have a pretty good idea by the evening of the 13th when I can do it. Thank you, mgknowlton (1/12/2007)
Question:
do you have a way to load the disc and will the semi run to pull it on the trailer we have the 2500.00 dollar bid thanks doug (1/19/2007)
Response:
Hi Doug, The disc is at the US Forest Service office in Flagstaff and we have a forklift there to sit the disc on. The folks at the Peterbilt will load it as well. Thanks for your interest, Jim (1/19/2007)
Question:
If you want it done we can get it wensday or thursday of next if you accept our bid. Thanks Doug (1/19/2007)
Question:
what do you want to pay 2 stops plus loading a truck that dont ,we allow 2 hours loading per stop ,how long do you think it will take them in farmington? is it raining up there tonight? it is here south of tyler (1/20/2007)
Response:
Hi, Definitely raining here in Paris and supposed to through tomorrow - I'll take all the rain I can get after the last couple years - just leave the ice and snow out. I actually advertized it with a 2500 price and I guess uship won't let you do that or I did it wrong because the price never showed up. I have a 2500 bid but am waiting for some feedback or references on the hauler since they didn't have any on this system. In Flagstaff the Forest Service have a forklift there that they will sit the disc on with and Doug at Farmington says he will load the truck as soon a my hauler gets there. He says they have dock and load and unload all the time. Also will remove the stack and have it ready. Thanks Jim Ferguson (1/20/2007)
Question:
yeah the rain is great we are also in the commercial farming business , we need all the water we can get ,how much time do we have to arrange one of our trucks like mid to late next week or maybe the 1st of the following and i will match you ,gets are trucks back any way . thanks L3 enterprises (1/20/2007)
Question:
this is doug we do not hve any feed from u ship we just singed on with uship we have got one job from them so far but we have been hauling for a private company forthe last 8 years if have any questins please feel free to ask thanks doug (1/20/2007)
