Questions for this shipment:
Question:
I'm moving from West Palm to Colorado Springs, wondering if you might want to share expenses? Rio at [contact info removed] (1/18/2006)
Response:
Hi "Rio" I am currently dealing with a man who might be able to help both of us and we can split the cost. [providing contact info is not allowed per uShip rules] ASAP...I have a couple of pieces of furniture, a TV and some boxes of personal stuff. He gave me a quote of $1,675. Maybe we can share expense if he has the room to fit it all. Jerri (1/18/2006)
Question:
Hello, If you are ready to go I might be able to help. I have a truck in the area, If you could tell me what your target is I'd be glad to bid. THANKS, BRIAN (1/20/2006)
Response:
Hi Brian, My time is yours...my belongings are in an apartment in Dania Fl. and can be pretty much ready at any time. What is your timeframe for picking up the items and getting out here? I am open. Thanks for responding. JG (1/20/2006)
Question:
HI BRIAN MY NAME IS STEVE--BEST WAY TO SHIP FURNITURE SAFELY IS TO DISSASEMBLE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE WRAP ON BUBBLE WRAP AND PADS AND REASSEMBLE ON ARRIVAL.THIS INSURES THAT THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO ARMS AND LEGS OF FURNITURE AND MAKES FOR OPTIMAL UTILIZATION OF SPACE AND NEGOTIATING STAIRS.IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT OR ASK OTHER DRIVERS YOU SHOLD GET A SIMILAR RESPONSE.MY TRUCK SHOULD EASILY HANDLE THIS MOVE --BEFORE I BID I HAVE 3 QUESTIONS 1.--SIZE OF BOXWES 2.--YOU CAN SAVE A LOT OF MONEY IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE AVAILABLE TO HELP LOAD AND UNLOAD 3.--CAN ANY OR ALL OF YOUR FURNITURE BE DISSASEMBLED--I WOULD INCLUDE THIS IN MY BID REGARDS, STEVE (1/20/2006)
Response:
Hello, I am not sure why I got this message...I think you intended it for someone else. (1/20/2006)
Question:
Hi JG, My time is flexible. I have trucks in the area weekly. Take your time and look around, I'm lic. and ins. and ready to help if I can, THANKS AGAIN, BRIAN (1/21/2006)
Response:
Hi, I was not necessarily "looking around". I was concerned that I would not fit in your timeframe. It's good to know that you have trucks in Ft. Lauderdale weekly. Are you local there or in CO. What would you charge to move the items listed? I would be looking at the end of January/first week of February for loading up and then it would not matter to me if it took weeks or a month or more so long as it finally got here safely. I am a Hurricane Wilma "victim" and have moved to CO after damage to my home and loss of job. I had to leave some favorite personal items behind...nothing very valuable...just sentimental value. Look forward to hearing from you with a quote. Jerri (1/21/2006)
Question:
HELLO--SORRY THAT MESSAGE I SENT WAS MEANT FOR YOU--WROTE BRIAN BY ACCIDENT--THOUGHT IT WAS YOUR NAME--NOW I REALIZE THAT IT IS NAME OF COMPETITOR--YOU MIGHT ASK HIM THOUGH IF HE AGRESS WITH MY SUGGESTIONS--IF YOU DO REPLY WILL GIVE YOU A FAIR BID (1/21/2006)
Response:
Hi Steve, Looked at your original email with questions I guess for me...the boxes are all computer/paper towel/toilet paper grocery type boxes. My husband has moved them in and out of a storage facility by himself with a dolly. He would be available to help load the furniture which is mostly broken down except for the chest on chest and nightstand. My bed is a soft sided waterbed so it is in large pieces. There is an elevator at the FL. apartment. My main concern is when the stuff gets to CO. I could probably arrange for an extra pair of legs and arms though. I am not concerned about the timeframe...just getting the things here. I was a victim of Hurricane Wilma damage and have come to CO to start fresh. Some very personal items with sentimental value are still in FL. I hope you can help. Thanks, Jerri (1/21/2006)
Question:
Hi Jerri, Thank you for your quick response. We are based in FLA. I have a truck standing by, I can expedite your delivery to be there 2 days from pickup! If "Rio", from your first question, still needs to move I would cut a great deal. I'm ready to bid, If you can give me a target price it would help. Let me know, Thanks BRIAN/REDLINE RELOCATION (1/21/2006)
Response:
I am getting sooooo confused!! It is hard to keep straight who is talking to who on this string of emails. My first email was from "Rio" who seemed to be moving to Colorado Springs...I emailed him and never heard from him again. It seems that "Steve" emailed me thinking I was you...I think that's what happened. I sent him some info on the boxes, etc. today and answered you...I think. Anyway, there is really no rush. I would be looking at my stuff being ready to be loaded the end of January/1st week of February (did I tell you that already?)and it does not need to get out here quickly...just safely and most important reasonably since I am still recovering from the relocation out to CO. As I said in my previous communique, these things are mostly sentimental or well used/well loved furniture that I should probably not try to move but I would like the familiarity around me. For me to target a price is really difficult but I will try...a month or so ago I looked into a truck rental (1/21/2006)
Question:
HI JERRI -YOUR INFO WAS HELPFUL-MY TRUCK HAS A RAMP-TWO EXCELLENT NEW DOLLIES AND ASSORTED MOVING AIDS-TO SAVE YOU MONEY I COULD DO THIS TRIP WITHOUT A HELPER.THAT WOULD MEAN YOUR HUSBAND WOULD HELP AT BOTH ENDS-OR YOU CAN GET A MAN IN CO. TO HELP UNLOAD.I CAN DO THIS JOB AROUND THE FIFTH OF FEBRUARY-I WILL BREAK DOMN WRAP AND DISSASEMBLE PLEASE TAPE ALL BOXES WELL..MY FORMAL BID IS AS USHIP DEMANDS AND IS LOSTED-GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR NEW DSTART-AND MAY GOD BLESS,-STEVE (1/22/2006)
Response:
Hi Steve, Well, I received another bid that was lower than yours and both are still a little steep. Do you think my stuff could be combined with someone else who might be moving out here? I need to keep it around $1000...do you think you could do it for $1,200??? (1/22/2006)
Question:
HI JERRI--GAS AND EXPENSES ARE MORE THAN $1000---LOOK AT PIC OF MY TRUCK---IT GETS 12 MILES PER GALLON--AND THAT IS PRETTY GOOD.THINK IT OVER--ONE ALWAYS GETS WHAT HE PAYS FOR---ALLIED WOULD CHARGE-$5000 PLUS---A U-HAUL ONE WAY RENTAL IS $4000--IT IS NOT JUST YOUR FURNITURE BEING MOVED IT IS A SUBSTNTIAL PART OF YOUR LIFE!WHETHER ME OR SOMEONE ELSE--PICK A PRO---LOTS OF WANNABEES ON THIS LINE (1/22/2006)
Question:
Hello, Brian here! If you are still shopping I am ready to bid. Assuming you two are able to agree on a date for pickup, I will carry both shipments. I can expedite delivery to be 2 days. All furniture will be pad wrapped and secured properly as we are professional's. We do maintain new Freightliner Air Ride Moving Trucks with all the packing, loading, unloading tools required to give you a safe secure move. We are lic. and ins. with Florida and operate with DOT authority. All bids are FLAT RATE and not to change for any reason. I am prepared to do both jobs for $2750 That is $1375 each and that is all inclusive! If this is managable, I will bid and we can arrange pickup. Thanks, BRIAN/REDLINE RELOCATION (1/22/2006)
Response:
Hey Brian, I have written to "Rio". He has gotten a quote from a shipping company for $1,100. He is interested in sharing the truck...we thought we could both save that way but $1,300 each is a bit pricey. Why would it be almost double if we are using the same truck? I would like to put something together. Jerri (1/22/2006)
Question:
jerri--Ihave been following yours and rios move carefully--Brians offer is an excellent one --he seems competent--is dot registered--knows what he is talking about-I suggest you and rio get together and take it.You need a pro not a back yard yahoo to move things properly-that is why I suggested to dissasemle fyrniture--am withdrawing my bid-try to understand costs involved--Brian good lucck to you--hope you can help these people--All the best to all-Steve (1/23/2006)
Question:
Jerri, based on millage, weight, etc. The best Price I'm able to offer is $2,750 that is all inclusive and fully insured. I'm sure you would find cheaper, however the price I've given you is the best I can do. We are a reputable company with experience and we pride ourselves on being competitive. Good Luck with everything... If you are interested, you know how to reach me...BRIAN (1/23/2006)
Question:
JERRI NOTICE YOU HAVE NOT ACCEPTED BRIANS BID YET--CANNOT MOVE BOTH YOU AND RIO TOGETHER--WILL STILL DO FOR 1650--STEVE-MEMBER7273644454 (1/26/2006)
Question:
Hi Jerri Is this move still available to include Rio's move? If so may be able to move both of you for $2500.00. I just need to rework some figures. We would be using a 24' truck. The main problem is loading and unloading. You would have to provide the majority of it on both ends. So toss this around and let us know at your leisure. Thank You Bill and Bob Retired Military (2/7/2006)
