Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Hi there, I am actually making that run and would love to take this for you but first a few q's. Is the crate & plane a total of 900lbs? Also, what I am taking is a empty 17 ft. long by 6ft wide trailer but has a complete rail around that the crate could rest on like a wall. Can the crate be hauled tied strapped down like this? I have many crosscountry hauls under my belt but this would be unique. let me know if you think this is feasable (10/20/2005)
Response:
900lbs is an estimate of total weight, which includes the completed crate, the plane itself, and the wings. A completed airplane of this type, including engine and prop weighs 700lbs. The 6ft width could be a problem, as you would have a minimum overhang of about 18inches on the sides and approx. 10 inches front and rear. It would be difficult to reach hard points on the crate for adequate tiedown with that much overhang. Perhaps a photo of your trailer might help shed more light on feasibility. Thanks. (10/20/2005)
Question:
Hi, do you still need to have this done? We can probably help you. What were you hoping to pay to have this done? Let me know if there are any questions about shipping I can answer for you. Be sure to check out our feedback on this site. I sincerely look forward to working with you. Thanks --StrongManMoving --James (10/20/2005)
