Questions for this shipment:

Question: We would like to work out a plan of action to accommodate you. We will be departing NE Kansas this Thursday Nov. 13th enroute to Leesburg, FL to load a $3600 job going to New Mexico. With this said, we would like to fill up our trailer on the way to Florida with jobs like yours so we are not running empty. We carry $1,000,000.00 of liability insurance and insure cargo at up to $50,000.00, at no additional cost to the customer. We transport all items in a 42ft enclosed carrier that has 110v lighting, climate control, and alarm system. The trailer can hold approx. 2000 cubic ft. of cargo at up to 35,000 lbs. I am an owner of the company and would personally load, drive, and unload. We would give you a daily status updates while items are in transit, along with providing you with 24 hr business contact number. Our feedback on Uship is 100%. What is a price that is fair to us, yet one that you are comfortable enough with to accept our bid immediately? ~ SAG Industries Inc~ (11/10/2008)
Response: The suggested dates work perfectly for us. My hope in listing our shipping need was for companies exactly like yours.............someone who was 'going that way' who wanted to NOT drive an empty vehicle. Our shoestring budget makes the $75 max our price. What if: we bring the chest of drawers to you, and an agreed upon site in north Atlanta is meeting ground for the receivers. That way, you aren't accomodating us with any 'out of the way' travel/expense. To that end, seems the $75 is all profit for you, and just helps to ease your expense in this journey. where are you in NE Kansas? We live just south of Overland Park, and would certainly commit to accomodating your time table for departure. The receivers will also work with YOUR schedule to receive this furniture. When do you expect to be in Atlanta? Saturday? Sunday? (11/11/2008)
Response: We will take the job for $100 if you meet us enroute on I-70 sometime Thursday Nov 13th in the late morning or early afternoon and we would estimate delivery for Saturday if all goes well. We keep contact with customers on a daily basis by cell phone so it is easier to give tracking information once we have the item(s) and are actually enroute. We will give advance notice the day before of when we would deliver. Let us know. We ask for $100 because it seems like anytime we take on a job for under $100 even if it is not much off route, the time it takes, makes anything less unprofitable. Plus there always turns out to me some additional fuel expense, not to mention this job will make us take a certain route to Georgia/Florida that may make us have to pass up another job along a different route to Georgia/Florida. Let us know. Thanks, Erin & Jerry ~ SAG Industries Inc~ (11/11/2008)
Response: We are small business ownners, and certainly understand the bottom line on bids. We have to get this chest to Atlanta because our daughter and her growing family need it. Bottom line, it has to go. If $100 is the best you can do, then we'll accept. Knowing your route (as I saw it on the internet) and having driven this road many times, I'd just assumed that at under $2 a gallon for gas, the $75 bid was sufficient since you are neither picking up the furniture, nor delivering it to the actual Atlanta address. Moving on, where and when will the meeting happen as you leave the KC area? As soon as you can be specific about the time and place, we will consider this a firm deal. It is very important to us to also know the anticipated arrival time in Atlanta so our children can plan ahead. (11/11/2008)
Response: Hello again and thank you for your quick response. Actually the diesel we use is still around $3 per gallon. Anyhow, if we do this job we would call you from the Topeka area and give you a little over an hour’s notice to meet us at some exit or truck stop off of I-70 near KC. We hope to depart Topeka on Thursday but another job could delay us until Friday. Because this job is such a small job you would have to be willing to meet us on our time or we just cannot afford to do it--it does not pay enough to dictate our schedule. The two other jobs we will be doing in the next 2 weeks pay $3600 and $6500 so these types of jobs are just fill in. Please do not feel that we do not value your business or care about pleasing you, it is just business, nothing personal. Also, the folks on the receiving end would need to accept the chest on our schedule. However, we would contact them the evening before the day we would need to drop to make a time that works for both of us. Let us know. ~SAG~ (11/11/2008)
Response: Book it. What is the next step? The folks in Atlanta will accomodate your time table. How 'bout we meet on the West side of KC, at I-435 and I-70. I'm eager to hear from you. Do I pay you when we load the furniture? If my very pregnant daughter is the only one who can meet you in Atlanta, is there more than one person in your vehicle to unload the chest of drawers? (11/12/2008)
Question: We will submit the bid and Uship will then release phone numbers. I have equipment to handle the chest by myself if need be. Your meeting place will be fine. We will call you either tomorrow morning or Friday morning from Topeka depending when we depart. Please accept the Uship bid promptly so we can plan our route factoring in this job. Thanks, Jerry & Erin ~SAG Industries Inc~ (11/12/2008)
