Hello shipper, does this still need to go? thanx, jeff.Report a Violation
Response: yes, still looking for a hauler8/19/2010Report a Violation
Response: When would you like this shipped? I am in northern Michigan with a hydraulic trailer capable of picking the boat up at a residence. I have a customer with a 30 Catalina and am familiar with the setting of the mast and the riggings, if that is a service of which you are in need. thanx, jeff.8/20/2010Report a Violation
Response: we want the boat moved soon, but are flexible on the exact date... where exactly would you strap the mast? also, is your trailer low enough, as the boat is quite tall... how exactly would you attach the cradle to the trailer? or do you have a catalina 30 trailer?8/20/2010Report a Violation
Response: Hello, the mast would be strapped to the trailer, alongside of the boat. The cradle would be chained and bound to the trailer. The deck of the trailer is "10 above the road surface. As I said, I have moved a Catalina 30' from storage to fitout and back to storage after haulout for the past 12 years. Please check my feedback. thanx, jeff.8/20/2010Report a Violation
Response: ok, sounds good. you would need permits in every state due to the oversize width of the c30... how much would u charge to move the boat the berkeley, california from port huron?8/20/2010Report a Violation
Response: I cannot bring up your photo of the boat and trailer. Is the cradle steel ? Does it appear to be professionally welded? thanx,jeff.8/20/2010Report a Violation
Question:
8/12/2010
what year is this boat and i think you will find that this boat will be wider than 8 feet 6 in. if so this will be an oversize load and the boat will need to be cleaned inside and out before you can enter California or boat will be quaratine because of zebramussels. thanks tollycraftReport a Violation
Response: its an 85. yes its oversize. i was not aware of the cleaning requirement, but it hasnt been in the water in 5 years8/19/2010Report a Violation
Question:
8/19/2010
A Catalina 30 in a cradle has to be on a trailer which is less than 18" above ground otherwise it will be overheight. I transported one in the last 90 days and my trailer supports the cradle at 14" above ground. This is an oversize load which requires permits in every state, has limited travel times and days. As someone who specializes in sailboats, I can not come close to the old bids; however, I am familiar with your boat. My bid would be $6977. Let me know if you want me to place a formal bid. Thanks, Steve Report a Violation
Response: Hi Steve, thanks for the inquiry, yes i'd be interested in a formal bid. would youre trailer accomodate the mast (40ft) and would you be responsible for attaching it? thanks mike8/19/2010Report a Violation
Response: Yes, I can accomodate transporting the mast with no problem. However, I do not handle any of the rigging. I have place the bid below. Thanks, Steve8/19/2010Report a Violation
