Response: The machine is getting a final inspection by my buyer on THurs/fri of this week if all is well we will arrange all documentation and will personally be present at U.S customs and then for Canadian customs inspection on arrival of your truck. Second week in Feb.sounds good(no mad rush here).It looks as if your truck has tilt deck ability or equivalent as the destination might not have a dock. Response: Thank you for the prompt response. The truck with the tilt deck is in for repairs to the ram. The flatdeck we would use is a custom deck for hauling RV's etc. It has a beaver tail and ramps, with deck height being 34". The backhoe will be loaded under it's own power.(driven on and off) We usually cross using a broker and our own electronic bar code, I am not familiar with meeting the purchaser at the crossing, however I will speak to the driver about that as well. We are based out of 100 Mile House, 2 hrs north of Kamloops. Are you familiar with the crossing requirements? ie. US customs needing 72hrs advance notice of crossing? (1/28/2009)

Response: Hi. For this machine afew things need to happen.u.s Customs needs to be forwarded all documentation 72 hours in advance and I've been told because this is a non commercial sale I need to be there to declare this vehicle because I am the owner on title. After that,the machine needs to go through a brief inspection to be done right there on the canadian side on behalf of the canadian food inspection agency. If there were any extra delays I would fit the bill.This inspection is merely to see that the machine is clean(with no dirt attached that might contain foreign plant matter etc. The duties would be paid at that time as well.
