I just found out that this will for sure be our last day in the area because there is no more motel rooms available (some sort of big event is coming here) So today is my last day to bid on this item... What can we do for you to make this shipment happen for a tomorrow pickup? Otherwise we will be driving south into another area to look for a load out. Let me know

Response: We had been quoted $826.00 by another company. Unfortunately the dates did not work for both parties. Would you be willing to do it for $1,000.00?8/10/2012

Response: : I'm sorry we already have a shipment out of the area, and we are already on the road to Oregon to pick it up and take it to Sturgis SD.... I will tell you that I would not have been able to do it for $1k, as that wouldn't have even paid fuel. If your looking for something that cheap what you need to look for is someone not pulling it, but that will put it on the back of their trailer, and they have several things already coming that way.... That will take a lot longer normally to get to you, but can be cheaper.... Sorry that we can not be your shipper, as we are only doing Tow-Away shipments this summer (I've not been home near our trailer in months) but I hope the information that I gave you will help you in your search. :)8/10/2012

Hi Lydia, I have placed bid for your consideration. I'd also like to take a moment to mention a few things you may want to keep in mind regarding the legalities involved with transporting items across state lines. Uship does not qualify transporters & recommends that you to check out the credentials of your prospective transporter. One way to do this is by viewing our profiles. Be SURE to look at the top of the profile page for DOT & MC #'s, along with insurance info, as these are all required in order to be considered a legal transporter. You also want to check Feedback toward the bottom of the profile page. Lastly, a "Carrier Watch" badge means they were approved by an independent 3rd party. Should you book with someone that is not 100% legal, and they're pulled over along the way, your boat will be impounded, and it can turn into a major nightmare for you. I am 100% legal, DOT & FMCSA compliant, as is another bidder here. I hope you find this helpful when booking. Thank you!

Response: Hi Sorry for the late response. At work until late again. We had been quoted $826.00, but timing was not working for both parties. I was hopIng to find a quote for around that; however that has proven difficult. Would a $1,000.00 be too crazy?8/11/2012

Response: : Hi Lydia! I'll be glad to help you determine a budget. The previous poster was correct... if you're looking for something inexpensive, I'd suggest locating someone already going that direction with several other items, which can be challenging to find & coordinate. Basically, the fuel alone for this type of trip would cost around $1,120. Travel expenses, such as lodging, food, etc. would run about $280. Vehicle maintenance/wear & tear for such a long haul is calculated at about $230, and insurance costs are about $140/week. In addition, a fee is imposed on us by this site when you book. So, on the conservative side, we'll have a total cost of around $2,000. Plus, this is most providers' sole source of income (myself included), meaning a profit must be made in order to be able to take the job. The average charge for your haul would be about $3,000, which everyone's bids are lower than already. I hope this helps! Let me know your thoughts & we'll go from there :)8/12/2012
