Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello Bike Owner; I'm going down to that area on the 27th, I live here in Or too. I would be able to put it in the back of my truck, done this many of times. It would be around $200. Thanks Trucking RFD (12/22/2007)
Response: Hello! Got your email. I am not sure what we are going to do yet about the bike. You said that the cost would be about $200.00. Do you have a firm price, hopefully below $200.00? How close would you be coming to Lafayette? When do you think you might be getting down here (so I can be available to get the bike from you and to pay you.) How would you want to be paid? I am interested. Regards. (12/22/2007)
Question: Hello Biker :) Well I'm going to Modesto on the 27th, your drop off is about 1hr away; but to get your bike that 6hr away from me so it would be 12hrs round trip to I.5,before the trip starts. And $200. is firm, don't forget uship get their cutout of that 200, (12/22/2007)
Response: Thanks for the reply truckingrfd! Where and when in Modesto could it be picked up? Would we meet at a certain place and time or is there some lattitude - like it could be dropped and would wait for pick-up by me in Modesto? I have not done this before so I am unsure as how things are done. One of the problems is that I might be in Los Angeles on the 28 through the 30. I was planning on having to drive to Baker City arriving there on the 28th, but if you were going to bring the bike I could just stay on in LA unless I had to be in Modesto when it arrives, or unless it could be delivered to Lafayette. Thanks for any information. Regards, Mike (12/23/2007)
Question: Hi Mike; I would take it to Lafayette for you not to Modesto and drop it off, My Parent's live in Modesto. It was just a delivery thats not out of my way in Calif;Rudy :) (12/23/2007)
Response: Hello Rudy, As I will be out of town on the 27th thruogh the 30th or so, either the bike would have to be dropped here at the house or it would have to be kept at another location until I could pick it up. Dropping it here would be best for us. Do you know what day you might be here? I would like to accept your offer of $200.00 for delivery. Let me know what we do next. Thanks, Mike (12/23/2007)
Question: OK Mike , where do you want me to pick up the bike? then there do you want the bike taken too? thanks TruckingRFD (12/23/2007)
Response: I sent a prior email. I guess I need a contract through USHIP to complete the transaction. If you are willing to transport for $200.00 I would like to have you do it. I understand that I need to agree to a formal offer from you to complete the transaction. I am waiting for the contract, as I understand things. Regards, Mike (12/24/2007)
Question: HI Mike ; I have look at the weather the roads are very iciy from here to your place ; I don't want to drive in that road condition ; thanks TruckingRFD (12/24/2007)
Response: Hello! If you want, we can delay shipment until the roads are better, say a week or two. Does that work for you? If you are going to Modesto, the only possibly bad roads would be in Oregon - not in California. Please let me know what you think. Regards, Mike (12/24/2007)
Question: YES , the roads are bad here , not Calif, But there a big storm coming, I drive this all the time , I'm only going down this week only, I not driving any more till the weather get better, thanks , good luck & Merry Christmas (12/24/2007)
Question: Hi, I'm leaving southeastern WA. on the 2nd heading to L.A. would load your bike on the 1st. It would be a driveway to driveway move for 258.32. If this works for you pleas let me know. Thanks Jimspeterbilt (12/31/2007)
Response: Hello! I just now got your email. Is the offer still open? Would the bike be enclosed or exposed? How would payment be effected? My location is 94549. (1/1/2008)
Response: Yes the offer still still good. The Bike would be loaded in the back of my 1 ton dually 4wd, and strapped down then covered with a steel trap off a semi flat bed trailer. The only problem would be I can't load it till some time on the 2nd or 3rd. (1/1/2008)
Response: I have not done this before, so I need to know how we come to terms, how I give you the address of origin and destination, and how you get paid. Is there any chance for a price of $200.00 for the move? Also, you mean that the bike would be covered with a tarp off of a semi flat bed trailer? I am concerned that a tarp rubbing against what ever finish there might be on the bike might mess it up. What do you think? I would have to notify the people at the point of origin about pick-up, but on my part the pick-up and delivery date is not critical, with the exception that I will not be around here from this upcoming Sunday to January 13. Thanks! (1/1/2008)
Response: Hi, 1st...I place a bid and then you accept it.. after you accept it you have to put a depoist to uship..then when you deliver the bike to you...you paid me the rest of the amount of the bid. If you don't want the bike covered I won't cover it. But if I cover it there would be a banklet between the bike on trap. (1/2/2008)
Question: Hi Mike, Confirming you received my bid placed yesterday 1/01/08. When comparing service providers, please make sure to compare apples to apples. My bid is for transport in a Secured, Alarmed Box Truck, Lift-Gate Loaded, E-Track Tie Down System, Pads/Blankets, and Full Value Insurance all inclusive of bid. Please advise, Brian.
