Questions for this shipment:

Question: Just a constructive suggestion, but it may be more efficient to use UPS overnight service or something like that. ~Scott (2/26/2008)
Response: Thank you for your suggestion. They imply on their website that they can't protect against heat and cold damage, but maybe that's just a disclaimer in case of extremes? Generally, do you think overnight should be okay for that sort of produce? Thanks a LOT for your input...I've never shipped produce before. LIz (2/27/2008)
Response: The reason I suggested overnight is so the produce will minimize it's time in packaging. I would pay attention to the disclaimer about cold and heat. You could easily insulate your produce in a package. To get someone on this site to ship your cargo, you would not be able to get less than 100 bid, most likely. And in most cases, the time frame is more than 1 day. For example, I'm passing through your pickup location on Sunday, but I am headed for Orlando. For me to drive all the way to your deliver location and back to Orlando, I would need considerably more than $10. :) Not trying to be the bearer of bad news. Just want to give you realistic expectations of this site. ~Scott (2/27/2008)
Response: Right,...thanks for the info. I wasn't really sure how it works. Thought maybe there were UPS type mail couriers that could do it. THanks a lot for the info...Liz (2/27/2008)
Question: he is right ive had live fish sent to me overnight to wis and they had no problem they send oranges and stuff all the time and from atlanta to naples would be fine i would think right now for sure i have a place in ft myers and the temp is just like my fridge i am going to sc and back to ft myers and would take me two days to get there but 10 would not pay rhe gas in any of my cars to naples from ft myers ups or fed ex overnight is best (2/27/2008)
Response: Right I didn't mean to insult any of you guys by requesting a price around 10 dollars. I didn't realize you were actual drivers. I thought it was just like mail or something... thanks a lot for all the info, though. When I have a more significant shipment, I'll definitely use uship. (2/27/2008)
