Question: Hello windinhair here I would like to know if you would be willing to meet me in Pembina ND?if so please let me know, also please read my feed back and stories by clicking on my user name, and I will place a bid to the border.Thank you[windinhair] (8/25/2009)

Response: Hi Windinhair,
I have a change of plans, and was wondering if you could take it as far as Jackson Center, Ohio, to the Airstream manufacturer site? I am planning to get it completely checked out (stem to stern, and then brought to Winnipeg. I could meet you at the border in Pembina, if you could manage two hauls. I will need to make arrangements for the service as of yet, so my dates may change. Please let me know what you can do now, with the 2 legs. Also, could I leave a certified cheque (cashier's cheque) in US funds, at the Airstream center for you as payment? Who insures your service and what time frame would you be looking at? (I believe it is 5-6hrs from Stoystown to Jackson Center)
Let me know asap,
Thankyou,
J.Young (8/26/2009)

Response: Hello and thank you for your reply I can take care of your logistical needs however I have just booked [10 min ago] and I will be running to the west coast in just a few days,I do not know your time frame?but it looks like now that I would not be able to serve you for about 20 to 25 days, sorry but I have a big mortgage to pay like most other folks,so I need to keep my wheels turning,so you can let me know if you think this might work for you,and best wishes.Thank you[windinhair] (8/26/2009)

Response: Hi, thanks for the advice about the DOT number etc. Does your biof 1350 still okay for driving it partway from PA to OH, and a break for a few days, and then taking it the rest of the way to Pembina?
The time frame can be moved to later in Sept., from what you said 20-25 days from now.
Let me know if this is still the cost, and if you can do both legs of the trip.
thankyou,
Jeanne (8/27/2009)

Response: How many days lay over? (8/31/2009)

Response: I am not sure, as I don't know what will need fixing. Having said that, I would say that five working days would be enough. (M-F) I need to schedule an appointment, and the first day there will be a thorough going over, and then I will know better what to expect for time for repairs. The appointment would be booked and firm beforehand. (it's not a drop in system)I could keep you accurately updated as to timeline. I wouldn't expect there would be delays with repairs, as they manufacture units right there.
Thankyou,
Jeanne (8/31/2009)

Response: Ok this all sounds fine, but I couldnt wait on your trailer a week or longer with making any green, how about doing the drop and when they are finished bringing it to the border?you would just have to give me a little time to look for something to Ohio,of course by this time Im sure you will know how long your unit will have to stay and about when it will be released?how does this sound?Thank you[windinhair] (9/1/2009)

Response: Hi,
That is what I was actually thinking. You could pull it to Ohio, leave it and pick it up again when done and bring it to Pembina. And how long the repairs will take will likely be able to be determined after the first day. I would like to pay you for the first leg by leaving payment with the Airstream Dealer in Jackson Station, and the balance when we meet up in Pembina.
Let me know if this is satisfactory for you.
I was also wondering what do those numbers mean that you have on your transport (DOT and MCL)?
thankyou,
AJ (9/1/2009)

Question: Hello AJ,windinhair here again please read the feed back on all so called transporters, please choose an M/C[motor carrier] because we are LEGAL transporters,it would be wise on your part to know who you will entrust to bring you your new pride and joy. Thanks again[windinhair] (8/26/2009)

Response: Hi again,
forgot to ask, would a certified cheque at Jackson center for the first half of the trip be satisfactory for your payment, or would a one payment at Pembina be your choice?
AJ (8/27/2009)

Response: Sorry AJ about taking so long, but I have to keep the wheels rolling, sure if I do this for you half would be fine at the Ohio plant, as long as its drawn on a US bank, how many days lay over are you talking about?this is an important question,if its to long then I could not make any money[Motel bill]so I need to know these things,Thank you[windinhair] (8/31/2009)

Question: I will do first leg for 350.00. I pull new units out of that site and i live one hr south of there. Coming back to make second leg to pembina,nd would be no problem also very flexible timeframe. Cost to pembina,nd 1000.00. Payment at jackson center for fist part ok with me and payment at delivery for balance. Let me know what you think.. thanks jason (8/28/2009)

Response: Hi,
I was wondering what type of liability insurance you carry, and what type of insurance on the trailer itself? Did you mean you have towed new trailers (airstreams) from Jackson Center? Do you have a contract with the Airstream dealership, or just private pickups of new trailers? I have to make the final arrangements with the sellers in PA, and hope to complete it this week. The cheque has to clear which will take another week. Would the middle of Sept be okay with you for the first leg of the trip? I am unsure about the work that will be needed and therefore unsure about the timing of the second leg. Is this going to be a problem? let me know, thanks Jeanne (8/31/2009)

Question: That is to say without making any green[windinhair] (9/1/2009)

Response: Hi there again,
I haven't heard anything from you since Sept 1st. Did you receive my last message? I agree that it would be better to do the haul in two trips, the first from PA to OH and then the next after the repairs are done. I was not thinking anyone shipping the trailer could stay around while the repairs were taking place. Let me know if this is a good setup for you and if your price of 1350 would still apply, for both trips. The sooner you let me know, the sooner I could make a decision about buying the trailer. Thankyou, AJ (9/3/2009)

Response: Hello AJ,yes I have got your messages Im on the road now making my way around the USA on the east coast now going to the west coast then back to the east coast, that would be better if I could pick your trailer up then and take it to Ohio, and yes you could leave a cashiers check at the plant, but it must be drawn on a US bank, maybe one in the same town as the Air Steam plant,Im sure I could do this with in a month or less, just on the last leg [to the border] for you to pick up,I just need a little time to find a load going up to Ohio,or Pa,so that may take a few days, would this be ok with you?and yes you could pay me the other half when I meet you at the border,BUT PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT MY BID UNTIL YOU HAVE BOUGHT YOU TRAILER ok?and as always Thank you very much[windinhair] (9/3/2009)

Response: Hi,
This all sounds good, but is your bid still 350 to Ohio, and then 1000 to Pembina?
And have you towed any trailers like this before?
If your bid is still the same, then I will go ahead and buy the trailer. I was wanting to make sure I had a way of getting it to Jackson Center and then to Pembina first.
Please make another bid on line, and I can get this rolling.
Thankyou,
AJ (9/3/2009)

Response: Hello AJ,windinhair here If my memory is right it was half and half on the money, you said you would have half of the 1350 at Jackson and the other half when you pick your trailer up at the border,Im on the road as I said before so Im sorry for not responding sooner, will check back, and yes I have been moving trailers off and on now for about 23 plus years [OTRD] over the road driver.Thank you[windinhair] (9/6/2009)

Response: Hi there, I would like to use you for moving this trailer. I have couriered a cheque to buy it. I can pay you half your fee of 1350 at Jackson Centre, and the other half at the border at Pembina. I can let you know about the repairs and timing of such, as I understand about your needs to keep working in between.
I need you however to make another bid offer online, as the previous one has expired and I have no way of accepting your offer and getting this transaction rolling. If you could place another bid, and then we can exchange telephone numbers etc, and make this entire operation a little easier and faster.
thank-you,
AJ (9/6/2009)

Response: Good evening AJ,windinhair here,I need to know that your trailer will make the trip to Ohio?is it road worthy?[tires]how old are they and how long has it been sitting? and will there be a spare tire?are the brakes working?Im in SD,making my way west, and will the load leaver bars be going with the sale?maybe even the hitch ball?just like to know,if so then I dont have to bring mine,so please let me know about these things and I will bid again OK?Thank you[windinhair] (9/6/2009)

Response: Hi,
From what I have been told, the trailer is road worthy/working brakes. It's been on a farm for the last 5 years (everything working 5 years ago when current owners bought it)and has been moved around the fields as they needed for farming the land, pulled by a tractor. I understand it was used primarily as extra sleeping area. The tires are fine according to the owner however I don't know their age or if there is a spare tire. It has a double axle with four tires currently. I don't think there are load lever bars going with the sale or an anti-sway bar. There is no hitch ball, although the hitch on the trailer itself is electric. I would prefer if you could bring your load lever bars, and hitch ball, (and antisway bar). I will contact the owners tonight, and ask your questions, however, I have not seen the trailer, so I am taking the owner's word on things. I will attach a picture that may/may not help. Please email again so I can give you the answers to your questions. Thanks,AJ (9/6/2009)

Response: Hello AJ,I just towed a 7300 lbs boat on it own trailer[2006] with Carlie trailer[2006]from San Antonio to NJ and 1 hour into my trip, had to have a tire repaired and in Laurel Ms rubber started coming off 1 tire,so the customer said to put four new tires on so I did,so if the tires are 5 yrs are older and have been sitting in the sun, then at 60 to 65 MPH they might not make to Ohio?so things like this are important to know,so if you can find this out or if maybe you would want to go a head a buy new ones [only wisdom]then this would be much better, because road service at 9:00 PM at nite is more [maybe] then buying new ones now,If it will make it to a tire shop then I would wait for them to do this,so let me what you think[windinhair] (9/6/2009)

Response: I am going to find out about the tires. I am also going to look into a tire shop in Stoystown, if they have trailer tires, and might buy some new ones, or at least a full size spare. I would prefer to get new tires at Jackson Center, as they would have exactly the right model etc. However, I do not want a problem during the 5-6hour trip from PA to OH. I will be in touch. The cheque for the trailer will arrive tomorrow, however will likely take a week to clear. So pick up would be about the 18th or later. I have asked the selle to let me know as soon as it clears, for ease of timing with transport/pickup.
thanks,
AJ (9/8/2009)

Question: Hello, We are boat and large item haulers. My partner is in the area and will pick up your camper for same day delivery depending on how fast you reply to me and we get under way. The camper will be pulled on it's own wheels, Camper will be inspected before he leaves, this is free. I will place my bid and will need to know ASAP. Thanks, Ken (9/7/2009)

Response: Hi there,
I am wanting the trailer pulled to Jackson centre Ohio, and there it will get repairs/inspection done. Then I need it pulled to Pembina, North Dakota. I don't know what the timeframe will be between the drop of in Jackson, and the pickup to go to Pembina. I will be able to find out once the evaluation of the trailer is done and the work. I would want to pay you half of your fee at Jackson, and the other half on arrival in Pembina. The trailer won't however be ready for pickup until the 18-20 of September.
Let me know if you can do this type of job,
Thankyou, AJ (9/8/2009)

Response: I have no problem handling the shipping from beginning to end. I will submit my bid for the entire trip. We will keep stay in contact while the trailer is being serviced. Once finished I will have the trailer delivered to final destination within that week. Thanks, Zonkercraft (9/9/2009)
