Question: Hi. It is hard for me to picture how big is gonna be your moving... In order to place a bid , i have to find out what kind of truck i would need for this... I have a 26 ft. truck available for you, you thinnk that would be enough to fit your moving all together in one trip...?? let us know before we place a Bid... Thank you.. (8/25/2009)

Response: According to the estimators I've used, a 20-foot truck would be sufficient. So a 26-footer should be fine. We have a two-bedroom apartment with some furniture going, but not a lot. No beds are going. The largest pieces that are going include a china cabinet (a small one, at that), and entry hall table, a dining table (no chairs), a wingback chair and an overstuffed easy chair, a chaise, two dressers (one with a mirror), five or six bookcases (Ikea-style) and a small armoire. There is an exercise track and some restaurant-style racks that can be broken down. There is one large carpet and three or four runners and small carpets. That's actually pretty much it. The rest is boxes. (8/25/2009)

Response: That is my hang-up at the moment: we don't have a closing date from the bank yet. We have every reason to believe it will be the first week in October, so we would want to be moving by the second week...but we do not have a date certain as yet. (8/25/2009)

Response: I think I listed them because while we're not taking them, I'm not sure the inventory gives an adequate assessment of the volume of stuff, so I added that in to give a better idea of the amount of stuff, boxes etc. (9/15/2009)

Response: The process is now waiting on a Flood Certification for the property. We are still expecting a closing by October 5th. The move is on.
