Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello I am a profesional mover with over 30 years of exp. We have all the pads dollies and piano boards to do the job safe and sound.I feel we could provide good service for about $459 total ,truck ,labor ,fuel and milage, taxes, insurance ,ect. I live in Germantown ,30 years Edwin Landshof, good references. (10/27/2009)
Response: Hello thanks for the message. Is it possible to reduce the amount a little more? As you see in the picture, this is not a big piano and I paid just over $500 for it. It's hard for me to spend another almost the same amount to ship it. Thanks! (10/28/2009)
Response: Hello again It is more than a simple answer about lowering price. Also hard to not sound rude, but I will try.Having done this profesionaly for more than 30 years I understand your price delima ,very common but aslo meaningless from my side, Example, you go to post office with two envelopes one empty one with a millon dollar check.same .44 for both. moving your pioan makes no difference if you got it free or paid $5000 Same job to us . Part two I bid 35% below other bid,I understand amount of time and labor required and about 100 other things that you would not think of ,but I have to do,Truck and equipment cost $65,000 ,oilchange every two weeks /3000 miles $189 etc. Long story short you get what you pay for. You may find some one to throw it in the back of pick up truck and due for $250. Thats not us and I see it every day as folks shoot self in foot blinded by "lower price". I know the value of doing a job right and paying my expences,I will never be the lowest, just the best. (10/28/2009)
Response: Thanks for your quick reply. I understand and appreciate your stamp example. Right now I have another bid (white glove service), but the mover is from California and I feel you are the better person to do this job. Would you come down to near his bidding level (400) and we can get going as early as this weekend (I need to make sure I get the payment to the seller before the moving). If you agree, please go ahead make a bid and I will accept it. Thank you very much! Di (10/29/2009)
Response: Hi again Yes being in Germantown I would be the best choice to do this job, site restricts what I can say about where the money goes ,but I will clear less than $100 ,so I will not bid against my self.I wish you had more experiance using this method .If I could talk to you I would say "stamps will still be .44 cents tomorow." Edwin Landshof & Andy Mcalexander Memphis (10/29/2009)
Question: I saw the CA bid ,very strange ?? (10/29/2009)
Response: Sorry, I mistaken your message as a dup from another person so did not reply. I don't quite understand your question though ... (11/1/2009)
Question: What are the conditions of the move? Stairs, doorways, etc. at both the pickup and delivery locations. I think I can cut you a great deal next week, but I need to know the details. Is there help for the load and unload to limit the labor to one man? (11/1/2009)
Response: Hi there is no stair at both pick up and delivery locations. Doorways are regular house doors, quite spacious. No difficult turns or narrow hallways. No extra help at either location unfortunately. Thanks! (11/1/2009)
Question: i will be in memphis the begining of next week, and i can deliver the piano wed nov. 11th. a friend of mine can get me a message from you if this is possible..[phone number removed] ..thank you .. stacy (11/2/2009)
Response: Hi you phone number was removed by uship as this is against their rules - I made the same mistake before :) I prefer to have someone who has experience moving a piano as this is heavy and could cause injury for people who are not prepared. If you are interested in making a bid please do it on the website. I'm about to accept a bid by early tomorrow morning so I apologize if you could not see my message before that. Thank you for your question! (11/2/2009)
