Response: Ken, I can not contact you prior to a bid being accepted sorry nor can you post contact details it is against USHIP rules and someone may flag you for it. If the item is coming from a dealer then I would suggest you ask them to pack it appropriately before collection. If this is not the case then we will use appropriate materials to wrap and protect it in transit. It will be in a 2007 cargo van and shipped direct to you not via a frieght depot or changing mutltiple times to other vehicles. They are the most common times damage occurs. I am human and accidents do happen but I have yet to damage goods in my care. All risks insurance can be purchased as a top up to cover all eventualties if that helps to put your mind at ease. Response: A good question indeed! But USHIP make the rules not me lol and they would say that is the reason for this question and answers section I am guessing. I know it can be a frustrating experience sometimes when it is new to you but trust me you are not the first to feel that way. There is always a provision to cancel a match if for example one side is not comfortable after talking or if the timescales etc do not work. With regards packaging my take on it is this. It is very much a suck it and see when I get there. It is difficult to be 100% certain as to how I would deal with it until I see the actual item in real life although I have a fairly good idea on how I would approach this rather nice piece. All I can tell you is that I would take the utmost care to make sure it reaches the destination in the exact same condition it was when I pick it up. It is not my interest to do anything else.
