Questions for this shipment:

Question: Thank you for your bid request ... I mainly handle LTL however I have our Full Truckload department, that also provides free consultations as to what is involved with your shipment, woking on this for you Thank you ~ Rebecca American Freight Companies (1/26/2007)
Question: Does this have to be put on a lowboy or can it be put on a stepdeck? (2/13/2007)
Response: The person who currently has it at his business has the use of a forklift, but does not have a loading dock at his business and neither do I at mine. It does not matter what type of truck that it goes on to me as long as it arrives safely here - the lowboy was a convenience for loading and unloading. I can provide the number of the gentleman who currrently has the machine and you could speak with him if needs be, but I believe that a stepdeck would be fine as long as there is clearance if it is going in the upper deck. Mark (2/15/2007)
Question: is this machine still available,if so i can find a step deck for it (2/15/2007)
Question: does the company who's paying the bill on this have good credit (2/16/2007)
Question: does the company who's paying the bill on this have good credit (2/16/2007)
Response: Yes they do. (2/16/2007)
Question: I have a Stepdeck or Flatbed that can do this if you can load/unload with a forklift? (2/16/2007)
Response: We do have forklifts to load and offload the machinery. The issue is length on the items. The forks on the lifts are not long enough to lift the machines from the end. Both machines are on skids and it may be possible to put one end in and then push the machines in the rest of the way...? That is why a lowbow was thought to be the best solution. Let me know what you think. Thank you, Mark (2/21/2007)
Question: Do you think this could be loaded inside a 34 foot enclosed car trailer with a beaver tail door? Just wondering and if it can I can do for $2000.00 (2/17/2007)
Question: Thanks for writing back Mark but like you I dont think it will work. Thanks Anyway (2/21/2007)
Question: HI THIS IS CARLA WITH CARLAHAULS I CURRENTLY HAVE A TRUCK COVERING YOUR AREA 26" BOX VAN PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE INTERESTED AS TIME AND SPACE ARE VERY LIMITED I WILL OFFER THE BEST RATES AS POSSIBLE ESPECIALLY IF YOUR SHIPMENT IS ALREADY ON OUR WAY PLEASE RESPOND IMMEDIATELY IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTION THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME IN READING THIS-CARLA (4/2/2007)
Response: Carla, I am interested. We have forklifts to load and offload the machinery. The other shipper needs 2 to 3 days advanced notice to line up the forklift on his end. The issue is length on the items. The forks on the lifts are not long enough to lift the machines from the end. Both machines are on skids and it may be possible to put one end in and then push the machines in the rest of the way...? That is why a lowbow was thought to be the best solution. It is only a bit over 10 feet, but the carver weighs 5000lbs. If it could be loaded almost perpendicular to the back of the truck, you may be able to use some pallet jacks to reposition it in the truck..? Let me know if you think it may be possible to load the carver on the truck. The jointer should be able to be muscled into place by several people once in the truck. It is an 8"; I have a larger 20" in Sacramento and I slide it around the shop by myself. Thank you, Mark (4/2/2007)
Question: Hi this is carla with Perfect Transports I'm in currently in Niagara Falls NY I will be headed toward California if you are interested on having your shipment on this truck please inform me immediatly so that we may make arrangments thank you-Carla (4/22/2007)
Response: Hello, I needed to contact the gentleman in New York -- he will be out of town until the middle of next week and then will need several days to arrange a forklift to load the machines. Will this fit your schedule? Thank you, Mark (4/25/2007)

Response: Hello, I had to get ahold of the gentleman in New York -- he will not be back until the middle of next week. He will need several days notice to coordinate a forklift. The forks on the lifts are not long enough to lift the machines from the end. Both machines are on skids and it may be possible to put one end in and then push the machines in the rest of the way...?
