Questions for this shipment:

Question: If you could wrap/box the chair and drop off and pick up as you indicate. You could ship the chair through Greyhound PackageXpress and save. I offer discounted rates on Greyhound that are not available to individual consumers. Greyhound handles alot of furniture sold on ebay, etc if it fits under the bus..this chair does. Please advise and I will submit a station to station bid if you like. (5/15/2006)
Response: would be interested in a bid for the shipping thru greyhound... also do you have any recommendations for the boxing? have found supplies on line but they are pretty costly... how good does the boxing have to be? does it get beat up?... any insight would be appreciated (5/15/2006)
Question: Hi, Roll'en Hills will be leaving the Houston area June 4th 06 to make a route to the Chicago area and could take this wing back chair for you. We are still making our route and excepting bids along the way so if the time frame is flexable in the delivery end & I will will palce a bid. Thank you, Cindy (5/18/2006)
Response: yes, dates are very flexible (have been waiting two years to get it up here)... would we still have to box the chair or would appropriate padding and wrapping be enough?... have found some reasonable shipping rates but boxing and padding is proving to be the most costly... if you don't need it boxed but only appropriately wrapped please make a bid (5/18/2006)
Question: Sorry for the delayed response...I can coordinate packaging by Greyhound PackageXpress in Houston...around $50. As for the damage...the main reason ebay furniture sellers use GPX is that it is hand carry freight and that Greyhound has low instances of damage. I see the dimensions on the chair...could you provide dimensions/weight on the ottoman prior to submitting my bid? (5/21/2006)
Response: the ottoman is small... 1 ft x 1 ft x 2 ft (more of a footstool really)... had planned on sitting it on the seat of the chair inside the box... the weight provided in the summary already includes the ottoman as well (5/21/2006)
