Additional Information: Single Mom needs help relocating back to BC, we're currently living in a 3 bedroom home however the majority of the items are being given away so probably won't be more than 1 or 2 bedrooms worth of stuff. We need the items picked up by anytime between Sept 1 and the 10th. We will do all the loading and unloading, you can just sit back and relax. Report a Violation

Response: Hi thank you so much for replying, at the moment there is actually 6 horses, one of them is pregnant and due any day so in total there will be 7 horses. 1 pony & 4 month colt 1 morgan mare with newborn foal 1 gelding 1 yearling 1 two year old To be completely honest I still haven't figured out exactly how I'm going to pay for all this. I know money shouldn't determine who hauls my animals, but I am a single Mom trying to get home to my family and don't have a lot to offer. My friend was going to do it with her 8 horse trailer, and make two trips, one for the horses and one for the house stuff, we agreed on $3,000.00 but her trailer had a problem with the brakes and she had to back out. I can certainly afford the $3000.00 but anything over that would be a stretch. I know I'm asking alot, kinda hoping for a miracle. (8/21/2009)

Response: Hi again, my friend had a diesel truck and would have been pulling an 8 horse trailer, so we calculated the gas at 800.00 round trip and the ferry at about $200.00 round trip so about $1000.00 to go from calgary, drop the horses off on vancouver Island, then return to calgary. So the $2000.00 was to cover the cost of the two trips and $1000.00 was to compensate her for her time. The trip takes about 12 hours including the ferry, so thats roughly 48 hours in total if you do 2 trips, So the $1000.00 works out to about $20.00 per hour. I know it's not a lot, but I would rather offer what I know I can do, then end up not being able to pay. Hmmm as I write this my parents just said they paid about 150.00 for the ferry with their 45 foot rig, so if I've under shot the cost of the ferry I would certainly be sure to compensate you.
