Questions for this shipment: Ask a Question

Question: Shipper: Do these tortillas have to be frozen during transit? I beleive that they are not in the freezer compartment of the supermarkets. I am going to be making regular trips to Winchester, Va. if that is close enough to you, let me know, maybe we can work something out. Paul , Triple R (11/29/2007)
Response: Hi .. Thank you very much for the response. Yes, these tortillas a kept in the frozen compartment of the supermarkets. But once we take them out, they can definitely last for 2-3 days at room temperature. Any idea how many days will it take for you to reach ?. I live in Richmond, VA. Is there a way that you can drop them here or somewhere closeby other than Winchester, VA. Also how much will you charge.? Thanks, Rahul. (11/30/2007)
Question: Hello Rahul: I think that I will be leaving for The East Coast on Jan. 14th. If I can carry this in an ice chest on the outside of the truck, or possibly put some dry ice in the ice chest, I could keep them frozen. I think that it will take me at least five days to get close to you. I am still not sure where I will be delivering to. I only know that I will be picking up a load in Winchester to return to Oregon. I will let you know as soon as I find out my delivery location. The price will work for both of us.Paul, Triple R (1/8/2008)
Response: Thank you so much for your help Paul. I really really appreciate this. I need this for personal use and hence I won't be able to pay you much for this. Please bring one case only. My friend in Boise from whose residence this case was to be picked up will be out of town during 14th Jan. If needed, can you pick up this case of Tortillas from Costco in Boise ?. Please let me know what are your expectations(charges) inclusive of all the charges for each case. If I feel that the charge is more I will not ask you to bring these. Please do not misunderstand me, but I need to know your charges as I am not in a position to pay more. I live in the Richmond, VA area. Please let me know how do you plan to deliver it to me if we agree to proceed further. Please reply as soon as possible. Once again, I thank you very much and appreciate your help. I will never ever forget this. (1/8/2008)
Response: Rahul: I still do not know my delivery location, maybe I can tell you tommorrow. If I can get it closer than Winchester, Va. we can work out a deal. $30 is O.K., but I ralize that I have to get them closer than Winchester for you. I am a Costco member, so if I have to buy them there, that will not be a problem. Paul Triple R (1/10/2008)
Response: Hi Paul, Once again, thank you very much for doing this for me. I really appreciate your help. If you can pick it up from Costco in Boise that would be awesome. At "uShip" what I have shown in the picture/ad is just one packet. I would like to have one or more than one cases with such multiple packets. Can you bring 2 cases for $30 ?. That would work best for me. I am not sure how many packets each case contains, but I think each case contains somewhere between 15-20 packets. If it is 15-20 packets per case, then I would like to have 2 cases. But I also understand that you need to keep them frozen in your ice chest. So request you to please do your best to bring as many packets/cases as you can, but not more than 2 cases. If you are leaving on the 14th and if it takes 5 days, it would be the 19th/20th Jan that you will reach here. These dates work best for me as well. Please let me know where can you deliver it for me. I look forward to hear from you. Thanks, Rahul. (1/11/2008)
Response: Rahul: I am sorry, but I just found out that I will not be going to The East Coast right now. Keep this listed on U-Ship for a few months, when I am sent that direction, I will place a bid on this shipment. I apologize for any inconvenience that I may have caused you. Thank You Paul Triple R Transport (1/12/2008)
Response: Not a problem Paul. Thank you so much for your help. Please let me know whenever you plan to come towards this direction. Thanks, Rahul. (1/15/2008)
Question: Rahul: I made a trip to Winchester the end of Jan., I did not even contact you because I had to make a delivery in Pa. prior to going to Va. That was even further away than Winchester. I am working on a plan to ship these to Richmond ,via next day air. I will place a formal bid after I get more info. on the cost. Please be patient, Thanks Paul (2/16/2008)
Response: Hi Paul, I saw ur bid today. Thanks once again. So is $120 inclusive of both, the cost of the tortillas and the shipping ?. Please let me know. Thanks, Rahul. (2/19/2008)
Response: Rahul: The $120 bid is my cost for the shipping of five packages of tortillas to Richmond via UPS three day service. It does not include the cost of the tortillas. I paid $6.49 for each package. I can fir five packages in the ice chests that I would use, (5 X $6.49 = $32.45) I know that the cost of the three day delivery is high, but I really can't figure out anything more reasonable. I did find a couple styrofoam ice chests because I was preparing to send you some tortillas on a regular basis, but I did not expect the UPS charge to be as high as it is. PAUL TRIPLE R (2/19/2008)
Response: Paul, Which is the city/place from where you plan to ship these ?. $120 is way too expensive for 5 packs. So I am trying to see how far that place is and if any other option could be worked out. Please let me know. Thanks, Rahul. (2/20/2008)
Response: Rahul: I live in LaGrande, Oregon, I am getting rates from there to Richmond, Va.(I used Zip # 23173). Each package weighs 5 1/2 lbs., if I use five lbs. of dry ice the ice chest would weigh about 30lbs. 3 day service would cost $90. 2 day wouold cost $131 I'm not sure if the post office would ship it any more reasonably. If you have any ideas, we can try whatever you want. I'm trying to "get-r-done". Paul (2/20/2008)
Response: Paul : I thought that you were planning to send it somwhere from Winchester or a close by City or State. So you do not plan to come this side sometime soon ?. Thanks, Rahul. (2/21/2008)
Response: Rahul: I am no longer driving for the guy that was going to be sending me to Winchester, Va. I will be staying in Oregon with my new job. The best that I can do for you is to ship them via the U.S. Post Office. My bid will still be the same. If you can find a trucker that has a reefer going East, and is willing to do it for your target price, that would be a sweet deal for you. I'm sorry that I can't be of more help. Paul Triple R (2/22/2008)
Response: No problem Paul. I appreciate all your help till now. Well, shipping from Orgeon is turning out very expensive for me. In case if I decide to do that in the future I will let you know. Once agin, thanks a lot for all your help. Thanks, Rahul. (2/25/2008)
