Question:

Thank you for your bid request but your Max is lower then the cost of the gas. Gas in Indiana and California is very high You need the airlines or trucking, I'm neither. 5gaidry Report a Violation
Response: Average bid price is $372 with the gas at its current price. Besides no one is going to make a special run that way for one dog, they will do multiples, I have been at this 40 yrs. Thank you!5/11/2011Report a Violation
Response: : I do take single dogs and give them special care and attention. I am not trucking, the max I take at one time is three dogs under 60 lbs. I have delivered many single dogs and have gotten paid the .50 per mile. It depends what the customer wants. There are people that use my services, read my profile. All dogs are caged for their safety, dogs should not be loose or riding on front seats. Dogs should have their own cages. water and dishes. I use air conditioning which uses more gas; for comfort an health of the dog. If you do these thing you cannot deliver from IND to Arizona for $350.00. You are trucking and take many dogs at a time. I do not. 5gaidry 5/11/2011Report a Violation
Response: Thats where we differ, you do it a different way, then people I deal with. Thank you and take care5/11/2011Report a Violation
Question:

Thank you for the bid request. Gas prices have risen considerably and we cannot offer a bid for less than $450. If you'd still like us to bid, let us know.Report a Violation
Response: Average bid is $372 for this run, no one will do a lone wolf, they will need multiples anywhere to make money, with the current gas prices thank you!5/11/2011Report a Violation
Response: : Ok... I see you paid $350 for 1,200 miles this month - this trip is basically twice as long. Care of a pet for that duration is also a consideration and worth the investment. If you change your mind, let us know and we'll be happy to bid.5/11/2011Report a Violation
Response: Thanks but was going by the average big there and here. I know the miles, and know it wont be a lone wolf if someone does this. tahnks anyway5/11/2011Report a Violation

Thank you for requesting our bid. Unfortunately based on the fact that you declined a bid for $475, and due to the fact that our price would be higher we would not be able to assist. Good luck and safe travels for this boy.Report a Violation

Question:
5/11/2011
While "5gaidry" and I disagree on advisability of allowing dogs out of their cage during transit - ESPECIALLY on a trip this long (I tether them to the front safety belt using a harness but with enough room to get their noses out the crack I leave in the front window for them) - we are in TOTAL agreement on the rest. You need to bite the bullet and FLY this dog. Rates for doing so aren't that high (private pilots of small planes are here on uShip and carry dogs just to supplement their gas expense). You will mess this dog up mentally otherwise if you stick him with some trucker who locks him in the back of a storage compartment... in his cage? for three FREEKIN days? Can't you see that that is cruel? I run dogs and cats up and down the west coast all the time. THEY NEED EXERCISE BREAKS EVERY 2 HOURS. A Trucker who is running a timeframe can't afford to do that. Only a private party will - and good luck finding someone to drive Indi to CA. FLY THIS DOG! Michael... aka MMReport a Violation
Response: I could not disagree more with you some of the things you have said, and I will not waist my time on you. I have shipped dogs for over 40 yrs, and not with a trucker, I am very picky, when it comes down to the details. Later!5/11/2011Report a Violation

Thanks for the bid request, but we will not be back on the road till June. We also will not be this far north into Indiana. We also do have crates we can ship the dogs in, but if there is only one on board, we prefer to have them ride on the bench seat in the cab with us, secured of course. Wish we could have helped, he looks like a very nice dog!! RobynReport a Violation

Response: Why will the bid be placed under care4u, and not candy0? Who is getting paid and how are you working this out with the other shipper.I only like to have one shipper. Who will be picking up my pet? Also how confident are you at being here in Indiana on the 20th? I know that is the latest date I can do this? The guy in Calif will be paying for the dog when he gets there. Will you have a crate to put the dog in? thanks Look forward to your responce5/12/2011Report a Violation
