Question: The engine will take up the space of one bike that I could get $500-$600 for that long of a run and the engine won't drive up in the trailer easily like a bike will. I will have to get a dolly and use special straps and blankets to secure and protect it. Then there is the question of fluids leaking all over my trailer causing the surface to get slippery and dangerous moving bikes in and out. I think $495 was a bargain price. Response: Hello Garret, This engine was newly built, not an old engine, it should not leak. This is for my daughter and she is on a shoe-string budget, as her dad, I am trying to keep the costs down because she does not make much money and would love to put this in her Beetle. Could you tweek the price? Other engine builders send out their engines Yellow Freight for approximately $350-395.00 each engine. I am purchasing this engine from a private source, NOT an engine company. This is what we have found. I can ask her if she can come up with additional monies but I think I will know her answer.
