Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello, Is instrument and stand together? If so, can it be transported on its side or back? Thanks, Glen. (1/3/2008)
Response: Thanks for your response. I'm not sure, but can check with the seller if he foresees any problem doing it that way. My understanding is he's already put it on a pallet, and the dimensions and weight given are for the item already palletized and wrapped. IFF it's possible as wrapped to tell which side the instrument's on, and that side was placed "up" so the weight of the stand wasn't on it, I think it'd be o.k. as long as nothing else were piled on top of it... I'll check and let you know asap. Were you thinking of any particular time frame? Thanks so much for your interest. (1/4/2008)
Question: Hello, Thanks for the quick return of my question. Pickup and delivery, as of now, will be mid to end of next week. Thanks, Glen. (1/4/2008)
Response: Just received this message: "Sorry I missed your email yesterday. Right now the unit is already banded to a pallet, so it would be kind of hard to lay down on its side. It is all bubble and shrink wrapped, we can cut the bands and take it off the pallet if they want to lay it down. Just let us know." Please advise. For some reason I've had difficulty getting to this page from the main uship homepage, so please bear with me, I'm definitely not ignoring you... too bad I can't just give you my email...:-( Thanks. (1/6/2008)
Response: If it's already on the pallet and wrapped, it would be best to wait for another bid or two with good feedbacks, etc. My bid would be around the 350 to 400 range. If you'd like me to bid, let me know. Thanks, Glen. (1/6/2008)
Response: Thank you! (1/7/2008)
Question: HI have an empty f350 coming back taking a trailer to md. can pick up your load and brong it to malden I am from Quincy, ma can do it for $500.00 let me know asap can do it thursday if acceptable i will bid. (1/8/2008)
Response: Sorry for the delayed response. I am hoping for a lower bid, but thank you for your interest. P.S. What's an f350? (1/10/2008)
Response: large pick up (1/11/2008)
Response: Sorry, but I do not understand your question. (1/12/2008)
Question: HI it is over 10 hrs back virginia beach is a hard place to drive to it is way off 95 you loose almost 2hrs getting back to the highway plus the cost of fuel now. If you change your mind let me know I will be in richmond again on 1/16 wed thanks (1/11/2008)
Response: Thank you, I will keep that in mind. (1/12/2008)
Question: FYI – bid rated as per posting info: “Business to Business” with liftgate service for delivery ... Shipper to load item(s) to back of truck & Consignee to unload item(s) from liftgate ... shipment will ne in an enclosed trailer ... Do you have any questions or require rate clarification?? If so, then please ask … THX (1/14/2008)
Response: Stand is wrapped and on pallet, I do not know to what extent the ebay seller I bought it from is prepared to help load the item on a truck, but can ask. At destination, the "consignee" [that's you, right?] would have to unload the item from truck, and bring it down 5 or 6 steps and maneuver it to a specific spot in the room. It might be easier to bring down the steps if it is removed from pallet and maybe even unwrapped at curbside?? Makes no difference to me, either way, as long as it gets inside and in place in one piece! Does this still sound like something you can do? Thanks for your interest! (1/15/2008)
Response: Thanks for responding & for asking a concern. Of note, the term "consignee" refers to the party to whom will be receiving the goods /shipment & signing for their proof of delivery receipt. The rate as quoted is for the common carrier to deliver the goods curbside only with a liftgate to lower pallet to the ground for the consignee to receive / remove. ... it is more cost effective for the consignee to engage casual labor or to call in a favor / other arrangements to get item(s) inside. ... THX (1/15/2008)
Response: Unfortunately, I really need someone who can bring the stand from curbside into the building, so regretfully have to decline your bid. As you say, maybe next time... thank you for bidding! (1/19/2008)
Response: I understand & your reply is most considerate as not many make the time or effort to do so. Unfortunately & for this shipment, "commom carrier" service is not the most suited to your particular need to have the item carried inside at the destination. Most of the time common carrier drivers are solo & the item is more than 100 lbs. A household mover or equivalent would be more appropriate for this shipment & to get the item positioned inside to where your would like it to be. None-the-less and should you have any other transportation needs, then I would welcome the opportunity to respond with a rate / capacity quote. Response: I'm keeping your info on hand -- thanks! (2/9/2008)
Question: I have a 26' foot box truck and can pick up on Thursday/Friday morning. I do have a liftgate with a 2500 pound capacity. Are you still looking for help with the item? (1/14/2008)
Response: Yes, I am still looking. Please see my answer to previous question for details on unloading: 5 steps down and inside. Thanks for your interest. (1/15/2008)
Question: Hi we are very interested in your shipment. What price do we need to be at to move this load for you? (1/15/2008)
Response: How close can you come to $250? (1/19/2008)
Question: Shipper $250.00 is a really low price for someone no one is going to haul for 30 cents a mile when it costs 55cents a mile to run a truck . I think a more realistic price would be in the $500-$600. range good luck on your shipment. (1/19/2008)
Response: Thank you and I understand. I was hoping maybe someone was going that route anyway, and could simply add it to another load, thus reducing their costs. I appreciate your input, though. (2/9/2008)
Question: Hi we are very interested in your shipment. What price do we need to be at to move this load for you? (1/21/2008)
Response: see previous response (2/9/2008)
Question: Hi i can do this move for you for $600.00 virginia beach is a long way off 95, and i will have to have a helper to bring it inside for you . let me know i can sched pick up , if your not in a hurry i can bid a little lower and pick up my helper in boston when i arrive I live in Quincy ma. but if i do this you need to accept the bid and then we can work out a delivery, I can haul it with another load to make up the deiiference thanks Mike (1/24/2008)
Question: I'll be in Va next week. I can make this shipment for you. (2/7/2008)
Response: Hi, and thanks for your interest. I understand that you are new to Uship, but do you have any experience or references prior to now? And what were you thinking of charging? (2/7/2008)
Response: I can provide references. I can ship it $400. (2/7/2008)
Response: Hi, JTD! You can't provide references in this format, but if you bid and I accept I would like to check them before finalizing details. Given that there's a "goose-egg" for feedback, I'm sorry but I've got to ask lots of questions. Hope you understand; (I understand that you have to start somewhere...) What kind of vehicle would you use? Would you be able to move this stand (on or off pallet) down 5 steps and into our office? Would you accept payment from me on delivery, rather than from the person I bought it from, from whom you'd be picking up? Thanks! (2/8/2008)
Question: I see you have been trying to ship this for some time , do you realize how much the tolls are on the deleware and nj turnpikes, It seems you want to have it shipped and brought into your place of business for very little money, the best I could do on this is $600.00 you have to pay a helper 150.00 pay the tolls which with a commercial truck is around $45.00 & fuel with that I think you should take that $300.00 bid it is a good but loosing price. (2/9/2008)
Response: Shall I then assume you are withdrawing your bid of $395? I certainly understand. (2/9/2008)
