Special Care Item Listing Information
  • Vintage Vending Machine
  • Description: Vintage Vending Machine Approximately 69 inches tall by 28 inches wide by 13 inches deep.
  • Length:1 ft.
  • Width:3 ft.
  • Height:6 ft.
  • Weight: 150 lbs.
Packaging:
Needs to be packaged. Blanket wrapped and palletized or strapped to wall of truck. Top heavy. Don't want it to tip over. If loaded by dolly I would like the bottom protected so it is not scraped or bent during move since it is metal and part of the presentation of the machine. Basically I just would like it handled carefully and intelligently.
Special Handling Instructions:
Needs careful, fragile handling. Some glass parts on machine and a mirror. Top heavy. Don't want it to tip over. Picked up at residence of elderly man. Doubt he can help. No stairs. Does not need to be brought into my house. I am physically able to help unload at my end.
Additional Information: I would like this picked up as soon as possible from Indiana address. If you have to make stops along the way I can wait a week or so but I would like to be kept informed. I would like a guarantee that the machine will arrive undamaged. Willing to pay cash on delivery. Pickup in Indiana can be made on weekend. During weekdays must be after 3:00pm to accommodate work schedule. Report a Violation

Questions for this shipment:

Question: $400 interested ?? check me out and get back to me. (12/31/2007)
Response: Hi. Yes, I’m interested. Would this price include blanket wrapping or somehow guaranteeing the machine to arrive undamaged? It is a vintage vending machine and thereby irreplaceable and I do not want it to arrive scratched, dented, etc. It is top heavy so would have to be strapped to the side or somehow otherwise supported so it does not tip over. It has a glass mirror on it and chrome knobs, etc. I live on a wide street that is completely accessible to any type of truck including 18 wheeler. I live two blocks off a major exit of the 405 freeway. Easy access. The machine will be picked up on a ground floor inside a house (elderly gentleman who won't be able to physically help). On my end it will be delivered to my house and I am able bodied and willing to help the driver unload. I will not require help to bring it into my house once off the truck. Please let me know if this sounds good and you can guarantee delivery with careful handling. If so let’s schedule it. When is the earliest y (1/1/2008)
Response: We will of course blanket wrap and secure the machine for safe transit, the only reservation I have is the collection, ie access and possibly a hand to load, though we are equipped with dollies and hand carts we are a one man per truck operation, it is not normally a problem as we will recruit someone locally if required.how deep into the house is the machine, and are there steps involved?? (1/1/2008)
Response: As far as I was told there are no steps. I put in a call to find out where in the house it is. If your driver/pickup man is in OK shape, he should be able to do it if the dolly has a strap or he can strap it to the dolly somehow to keep it from twisting/tipping. I can dolly these fairly easily myself the only thing to be careful of is hitting a bump with the dolly if the machine isn’t fastened to it and padded so it doesn’t get away from you going over a doorway threshold or something. As far as I’ve been told there are no steps but I called to be sure. I’m waiting to hear back so please e-mail me latter since I don't know if I can e-mail you directly without answering your entry. If you can do this, do you have an estimated time that you would be able to pick it up? Thanks again. Sincerely, Mark (1/1/2008)
Response: collection would be Sun - Tues depending on weather and the other people before that collection, please advise as soon a poss if you need us to place a bid that you are willing to accept. (1/1/2008)
Response: HI. Still waiting to hear back from the other end. If you want to place a bid you may. I will make a decision as soon as I hear from them. Also, if you aren't able to get it on Sunday, will it be a problem to pick it up Mon. or Tues. after 3:00 pm? That is when he says he will be home. Thanks. Mark (1/2/2008)
Response: No problem on the times, but unfortunately we are not a company that places bids unless they are certain to be accepted, as we have many irons in the fire and have to keep track of which way and where we are going, we are building a jig saw puzzle with no picture and 33% of the pieces missing, if you catch my meaning, we will bid as soon as you give us the green light unless others have accepted in front of you which makes a route to you unviable, sorry but thats better than accepting then dumping you at a later date because we found a job that pays better, thats not our style. (1/2/2008)
Response: OK, they called and said the machine is on the ground floor. There is a 3 inch step up or threshold getting into the house but nothing else. Once you are in the house you turn right and it's the first room on the hallway. The man can be there on Sunday. If you can't make it on Sunday, it will have to be after 3 pm because of work for him. I guess I give you all the other details once the bid is confirmed? This is my first time using this site. If this all sounds OK to you, you can place a bid so we can get this going. Thanks again. Sincerely, Mark (1/2/2008)
Response: All is clear and AOK, ready for your acceptance. (1/2/2008)
Question: The sum of money you describe is in fact a sum I never get to see and the balance is the only money I get in my pocket. I hope this answers your question, we are tied to what we can say and not say in the Q&A but once we are matched we can talk freely on the phone and if you do not feel happy with any part of the service offered, you have the ability to "unmatch" and have all money returned to you. (1/2/2008)
Response: OK on the delivery date. I don't get this part about my fee to PayPal though because if you don't get the money, who does? Is this a commission they charge you? When is the latest I can confirm this with you? My only slight hesitation is price. I have read your feedback so I think you would be perfect. I guess I'm hesitating because I paid just slightly more for the machine than the shipping is going to cost and I had another delivered for one ninety a couple weeks ago. Those people cant't do this one though. If this is the best price you can offer, I understand and will give you an answer by midmorning tomorrow if that is OK. Thanks again. Sincerely, Mark (1/2/2008)
Response: somewhere around the the 12th/14th (1/2/2008)
Question: Thank you for the bid request. Unfortunately we will not be in area to make this delivery. This machine sounds beautiful. We hope it has a safe and gentle journey. Happy New Year, Leslee Wilson, K2 Carriers (1/2/2008)
Question: Correct on the deposit it is weighed against the quote placed and as for the quote I hope you appreciate that 2100 miles is a long way at 9mpg and 3.50 plus a gallon, thats why the other quote you have is 37.5% higher than mine pleas read feedbacks carefully and I feel that should show just cause for a quick decision, my bids when placed last for a maximum of 24 hrs and at that point we move on, so the decision is yours. (1/2/2008)
Response: OK. I didn't realize they charged a deposit that you wouldn't get. I'd rather pay it to you. So do I pay the balance or will I still have to pay four hundred on delivery? I agree, you have impeccable feedback. (1/3/2008)
Response: We just get the balance, and when you accept the bid it will tell you what you owe me, and that I will look for in cash when we deliver the goods. (1/3/2008)
Response: OK. Thank you. I'll complete the bid and then talk to you tomorrow. (1/3/2008)
Question: Thanks for the bid request. However I will be on the West Coast for the next couple of months. Brian. Special Operations Transport (1/3/2008)
Question: Jon was involved in a serious accident in Pa on Friday night. I have been by his side and have not been able to check his phone. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you, but at this time our family is struggling as well. (1/10/2008)
Response: I am very sorry to hear this and was hoping that was NOT the case at all! I thought his not answering was very unusual. That is why I wrote what I did about it being unusual because he had such good feedback and was very nice on the phone. Please call me if you wish. I left my number on his voice mail. I'm not allowed to leave it here so I hope you have it. I know you have more important things to do right now so please tell him to get well if he was injured and I will keep him and you all in my prayers. Sincerely, Mark (1/10/2008)
Response: They think he may need surgery on his back again. The swelling is going down slowly, but nothings certain. He has been sedated mostly as they want him to stay immobile. The truck is totaled but I think the trailer may still be salvageable. Thank you for your concern. I will try to keep everyone updated on his progress. Erin (1/10/2008)
Response: I'm very shocked and sorry to hear this. Was it because of bad weather? He mentioned he may be delayed by weather. Please know that my thoughts and prayers will be with him for a speedy recovery and with you. Sincerely, Mark (1/10/2008)
Question: Just to let you lnow, Jon (englishmovers)was in an accident last Friday night and is going to be down for atleast a few months, Thats it what I have heard. (1/11/2008)
Response: Thank you. His wife e-mailed me. I was hoping that had not happened. You know, you wonder is someone flaking or are they hurt. In his case it seemed odd because he had such good feedback. I left that in my message for him that I hope he was not delayed due to an accident. What a shame. I hope he is OK. Thanks for e-mailing me. Sincerely, Mark (1/13/2008)
