Additional Information: I need to move 1 (possibly 2) vintage travel trailers from Hartland, Vermont to Damon, Texas (40 miles southeast of Houston). Overall length of unit is 25 1/2' long including the 30" hitch extension, 8' tall x 7' wide. Dry weight is approximately 3000-3500lbs (hitch weight 350lbs). Axles were serviced in December of 2005 and new tires and hitch were installed. All it needs is a set of temporary lights/plates and someone to pull it.
Pickup and delivery dates are flexible between March 12th and May 15th.
I also have a 16' (approx. 1800lbs.) trailer at same location that is currently untowable if anyone has a flatbed auto carrier with hitch who can get them both here in a "package deal."
All reasonable offers/suggestions/arrangments are considered, so please ask questions!

Questions for this shipment:

Question: can bboth trailer be tow to houston, tx ? (3/9/2006)
Response: Hi Larry - Thanks for your question! Right now only the 25' is towable (with a set of temporary lights and plates). The 16' could be brought up to speed with new tires and a minor service to axles/bearings/hitch if you wanted to make an offer to tow both, (or only the one). I put a call in to my mechanic to see what the turnaround would be on that and will let you know what I find out. (3/9/2006)
Question: im intrested in your move if everything works out ill be up that way in a week and can haul this item back for you id tow it with my f-350 for 1900.00 (3/9/2006)
Response: Hi John - I appreciate your offer. The man who sold me the trailer agreed to deliver it for $1500 if I couldn't find anyone else to do it in the next few months. If you can match his offer, the money and job is yours. Thanks... (3/9/2006)
Question: Hi I live in maine about 2 hours from you, when you had the service done did you have the wheel bearings packed thanks. JR (3/9/2006)
Response: Hi JR - Although I'm almost certain that they were re-packed during the service, I will let you know for sure after I call the seller tomorrow to verify. Thanks for the interest! (3/9/2006)
Question: John, I see that your time frame is flexible, yet I also see you turned a bid down for time being incompatible. What is you target time frame for this shipment? It's quite possible that I may be able to transport your trailer if I knew when it had to be in TX. Thanks, Bill (3/10/2006)
Response: Hi Bill, The pickup/delivery dates are flexible between March 15 and May 15 and the bid was for March 11. I had to decline another bid this morning so that I could update the listing with additional information including an earlier pickup date of 3/12 and a different category. Target price is still $1500 and dates are still flexible within window of 3/12 - 5/12. Sooner the better as far as when it needs to be in Texas, but could wait a month or two for the right price. Would you tow it or carry it? Full coverage insurance? I have an untowable 16' trailer at same location if you have equipment to carry it with flatbed auto carrier and pull the 25' behind. (3/10/2006)
Question: John, I have a 40' flatbed and I may be able to take the both. I really cant be sure intil I actually try to load them. I can give you a bid for the 25' trailer and then talk to via telephone on the second if it will fit. If that will work for you, let me know so I can submit the bid so you can accept it and get this into the system, Thanks....Bill (3/10/2006)
Response: Hi Bill, Your 40' flatbed is what I've been hoping for. Submit a bid with some approximate dates and we'll go from there. -Jess (3/10/2006)
