Response: Hi Larry, I'm going to bid on this tomorrow. By then, Frank will have a better idea of exactly when his trip is planned. Right now, it looks like he will be leaving Seattle, October 29 with pick up in Boise Oct 30 or 31. Delivery to you about a week or 10 days later on the trip home. YES! you not only qualify for the pre Christmas discount, you also will get frequent emailing points. AND a bonus for losing our business last time (and being stuck with a provider who dropped the ball). In addition, it appears you are also eligible for a "nice guy discount". Response: Oh NO! You don't have to be old to get the s.c. discount. Frank's dad is probably going on this trip and HE'S the senior citizen. Response: Oh oh. Have you forgot about me? You've mentioned a couple times that you would get back to me, yet I still haven't heard from you. I talked with the Seller in Boise and he is "gettin outta Dodge" the morning of November 1st to Florida and will NOT be back in Boise until February 1st, 2010. Soooo - it's imperative the 3 Indian Statues MUST be picked up **NO LATER** then Saturday, November 31st** at the absolute latest**. Please advise ASAP if you can or can't do it so I can actively look for someone else. I had a reply for a shipper in Boise that could pick them up anytime and hold them until he comes to Portland. I've got him on tenative hold, hoping I would hear back from you, and that's why I need to know. I hope you understand my urgency. If they're not picked up as stated, I won't be able to get them until after Feb of next year and the Seller will be very irritated. Response: Oh Larry, so sorry to be so slow with our bid! I'm pretty sure we will be able to pick up before Nov 1. However, we've been in this business long enough to know that if anything can go wrong, it will. We want to do this. Is there any possibility of Plan B? Can the seller leave them with a friend or neighbor? Or can they leave a key to the house with a trusted friend? Or place them in a storage unit (Public Storage charges $1 for first month rent) and mail us the key? Please explore these options just-in-case. We frequently pick up from vacant property so for us, it's not inconvenient. I don't want to lose another one of your loads for timing. They said they will get back to me in 2-3 days to tell me their schedule RE: p/u and delivery times and days. I am not a wheeler dealer, and believe every hard working man has his price, and I respect that, however, would you consider doing it for me for $125. also? Do you have any guess right now as to delivery time to me on Tuesday? I will be gone from about 1:50 to 4:15ish for a dental appt I can't cancel with this short of notice. Plz be honest with me and if you can work with me about Tuesday delivery. I'm willing to kick in the $25. extra if that's what you need. Response: The time will depend on how quickly I leave Bend. I have to deliver a boat there by 11:00. If I can get out of Boise at 4am. I should be in Bend by 10:30. If your neighbor could help, I can leave the statues there. They could just hand me the cash. I have to run to Hood River after that for some furniture. So my timing has to be right on.
