Question: Is there a freight dock or fork lift available to load and unload? We have a truck leaving the San Francisco area tomorrow (Thursday)afternoon that will arrive Little Rock on Monday. Do you have a target price in mind? (9/26/2007)
Response: Hi, I sold a pair of transmissions to a great guy. He may want my engines. The shipping is to much for the engines.The Trans got to go. I may do FedEx, for the Trans. They weight about 125 each. maybe less.I am not as strong as is was. I can lift them. My friend would like the V8 engines, but the freight is to much. He can get a couple in Little Rock for less. The transmissions are special, he can get a V8 Chevy any were., not marine. I am shipping the trannys on Monday, if he does not buy the engines. I guess 2 V8 chevys with transmission on 2 pallets is much to expensive. Why ship, talk to me about price. The pick up is 92649 and deliverly is 72223. Give me a good shipping price. or we say no ebay deal. No big deal. I cancel. No problemb (9/27/2007)
Response: If you can load the transmissions with engines and your friend can unload them (forklift or dock) we'll carry it all for $500. Is this delivery to a residence? Most of the area around the zip code you listed is residential. Maybe he has an engine hoist. For the transmissions alone we'll charge you half that. It's all a matter of fuel money. Response: Hi, I sold the 2 boat transmissions on Ebay. I talk to the buyer and he ask if I had some matching boat engines. I do, he is interested in the engines if we can get a good price on shipping. I would bolt up the trans to the engines and ship on 2 pallets. (48'x40"x36"). If he does not buy the engines, I will need to ship the Trans on 1 pallet, 280 lbs. I would like 2 quotes. 1 pallet- 280 lbs 2 pallets- 550 lbs each, 1100 lbs total Thanks, Steve (9/27/2007)
