I am fully covered with commercial insurance. Check my feeback and profile. If interested, let me know soon, and I will submit a formal bid. $1650 gets you safe, legal, insured, worry free transport. Rick (5/11/2008)

Response: Will consider. (5/12/2008)

Question: In your additional info you have boulder city to blaine. Are theose optional transport routes? Just curious where to where this needs to go before I bid. Thanks Ian Johansen Second Chances Transport Kennewick WA (5/11/2008)

Response: It is actually Boulder City to Blaine, not sure why it came up as it did. (5/12/2008)

Response: Thanks very much for the reply, I can calculate my bid now. Thanks for your consideration , Ian Johansen Second Chances Transport (5/12/2008)

Response: i noticed on another board you had a price of $801, is that your price?
Roy (5/12/2008)

Response: Yes , didn't realize it was the same boat. I cannot provide a trailer however. If using the existing trailer is an option, is it in good shape and what is the total weight? You indicated that your max was 800 to ship this item so i'm going to stick to your requiremnt on price. Thanks Ian (5/12/2008)

Response: It weioghs about 3800 lbs, and it is on a tandem axle traier. But i am concerned if towed about damage to the hull so some sort of protection is required.)ie, on the truck or there are mesh screens to fit on the trailer? (5/12/2008)

Response: We could wrap the front of the hull in shipping paper and secure it with tape like how travel trailers are shipped. It sounds like it would be best if we waited if i make my next trip back down for the 22nd and then I could place it on my rollback instead of towing it as long as the overall height didn't exceed 8ft (ground to top of boat) and length did not exceed 24' with trailer. Let me know what you think and if it was dedicated for my rollback instead of towed, then i would need to rebid accordingly. Thanks , Ian (5/12/2008)

Response: THe tape would not leave marks?
I'm checking on the height on the trailer and total length from hitch to rear.
What price woul i be looking at for your dedicated rollback (what is this?)
Towing should be fine though, even if you have one of those rock guards that go right across the back of a truck. (5/13/2008)

Response: Tape wouldn't leave marks as longs as the gelcoat is original and the it hasn't been painted. I can rig something up as a protector (something I should do anyhow). I use a rollback tow truck with big mudflaps, the kind you see flatbedding a car somewhere. ( check my profile for a pic ) I would rebid 950 all inclusive if it went on the deck or same bid I have on the other post if towed. I have another boat to pick up on the 30th and thats when i would get yours as well. Thanks Ian (spazster34) Second Chances Transport Kennewick Wa (5/13/2008)

Response: Ian , it looks like you have adequate mud flaps. I'm just paranoid about this mint boat coming over the pass in Northern California and getting pelted by road debris.
I've seen protectors either that bolt on the trailer or the back of the truck??
30th is very late for me though. But..... i guess i could wait
I did notice a boat needing to from Bellvue to Vegas on some board.?
Roy (5/13/2008)

Response: Thats from nebraska, I don't service that area. Pretty much just west of the rockies. I won't be going through california. I'll be going back up through to my house in Kennewick Wa then on to the east side. I'm taking a new boat over to salt lake city on thursday and the owner has same hull concerns as you. I'm protecting it with thick shipping paper as well with light plastic over that. I'll see how that works out and let you know. He's not picky if there is a chip or two and he realizes if he towed it himself it would be a possibility as well. The trailer could receive some road wear, but that would be normal anyways. I understand your concern about the damage, I would be too. All I can promise is that I will do my best to protect it if towed, however like anything in life there is no guarantees that a chip wouldn't occur. To further guarantee that there is no road rash at all, you might seriously consider paying a larger shipping price and have it trailered. Thanks Ian (5/13/2008)

Response: Ian, what's this about Nebraska?
Your taking a boat to Salt Lake City, can you not run down after and get mine? (5/13/2008)

Response: Sorry, you mentioned that you noticed another load from Bellvue to las vegas , I looked for it and all I could find was Bellvue NE to Las vegas, so I was mentioning that I don't run that far east. I'm delivering a boat to SLC because I already have a full load to go from Vegas to Seattle on this trip and its kind of on my way down. I already have one more boat to come out of Vegas to Seattle on the 30th. Thats why I can offer you the good price to take your boat to Blaine because I have one more open spot as of now.But of course I'm always exploring my options.I have to keep my truck full in order not to loose money. I'm commited for a different run on the 22nd so therefore the next time I can get into to Vegas is the 30th. Unfortunatly that is the soonest I can get there.I totally understand if that doesn't meet your time frame and you need to seek the services of other qualified and good transporters here on Uship. I offered the low rate to meet my scheduling needs. Thanks :) Ian (5/13/2008)

Response: Thanks Ian, so i either book the shipment, or wait and risk you finding aother load right? I would wait and see if something comes up, i'm actually looking to buy a truck there too then drive them back if it took that long (May 30). SO we;ll see. Thanks for your info, let me know if you get booked up or anything else opens up.
Roy (5/14/2008)

Response: Well by booking it now Roy it just assures that your going to get your boat shipped on the next available shipment, kind of like a reservation so to speak if you can wait that long. Right now I do have another bid on a boat to come out of Vegas near the end of the month but I haven't heard anything. Booking now assures the end of the month shipment only. If I win the other boat then I'll put another shipment together for the first week fo June to accomodate that bid. I just try to stay busy is all, so I continue to bid. I'd like to earn your business. Having said that though I need to make sure I'm running at full capacity so as to turn profit. Just like you're looking for the best deal possible as you should be, I'm looking to make sure I've got full loads. Thanks for the continued interest in my services , Ian Second Chances Transport Kennewick WA (5/14/2008)

Question: What kind of price are you looking for? You declined at 1600 which is a very fair price for this tow. (5/12/2008)

Response: I'vre got otehrs at $750 (5/13/2008)

Response: So you've got somebody to wrap the boat and haul it for 750???? What are you waiting for? It's not often you can get somebody to PAY YOU and haul your stuff. This guy whoever he is, working for free. (5/13/2008)

Response: i didn't say he'd wrap it, and there is actually somebody else for $800. Odd there would two people who would pay me???? (5/13/2008)

Response: Well what are you waiting for then? A lower price? Because believe me your getting a deal for 750 or 800 Go get a calculator and figure it out. That guy would have to put 3 boats on his trailer at that price to get anywhere. Wanta take bets on whether he can do that or not? (5/13/2008)

Response: Sure $50 to leave me alone and fund your retirement somewhere else, not going to give you the pleasure of knowing how he does it.... you should see it. (5/13/2008)

Response: Now your making me laugh (5/13/2008)

Question: Ok Roy, were good for the 22nd pick up. My other boat accept my bid last night. I'm getting ready to leave vegas , so won't be back online till tomorrow. Take care, Ian (5/17/2008)

Response: Sounds good, do you want to revise that bid to have the correct pick up/drop date please. Then i will accept it and we're off.
I prefer getting the boat earlier, so i can get it out on the weekend (sunday), but i understand your concern for holiday weekend traffic. (5/17/2008)
