Additional Information: Hello, I'm looking for someone to deliver 2 dune buggys to Port Huron Michigan.the second machine is in AZ aprox 6 hrs from first one. I'm looking for a very reasonable rate as I don't have alot sitting in this buggy and can't afford a hugh shipping rate. This buggy is very light and can sit on top of a existing load (steel or whatever). Pickup can only be on Friday or Saturday. Drop off can be anytime / day of the week. As close to the Blue Water Bridge border as it is coming into Canada. I will meet you on the U.S. side to transfer onto a flatbed. The buggy is turn key, runs and drives and can be pushed very easily. I'm not looking for a special shipment arrangement that will drive the cost up. I'm looking for someone who has extra space and capacity available in exchange for some extra pocket money (flatbed, van, reefer). I was thinking as an extra add on to a loaded trailer a target of around $1000.00 - 1500.00 for both. This shipment needs to go ASAP as the seller needs the space. This buggy is coming to Ontario, Canada if you have a different option that can move this buggy to Ontario, I'm open for any and all options. Example crossing in a different Province. Questions for this shipment:

Question: $2188 for both fully insured and legal (10/8/2009)
Question: Hi, Is the 2nd one the same size? (10/8/2009)
Response: Yes, the first is a 2 seater, the second a 4 seater no more than a foot longer if that. The2 seater is mid engine, the other rear. So almost same. Same width, height and weight. Thanks, Hc. (10/8/2009)
Response: Hi, We could possibly get these the 23rd/24th - delivered to Port Huron about 4-6 days later. A couple questions. Does the Friday/Saturday limitation apply to the AZ buggy too? OR just the CA one? Our trailer is 24' - if we needed to overlap the front tires a little to make them fit is that acceptable?? Thanks, Bill (10/11/2009)
Response: hey bill, i can find out if that works for the lindsay buggy. i think anytime for the az one would be fine. i have to sort out the payment thing tues with him, i will discuss the pickup with him at that time. you are the truck driver, i leave it in your cappable hands to load and deliver my buggys safely. what you have have to do is entirely your choice the front wheels are a spindle type with no brakes. you can remove the fronts and rears for that matter if required...no big deal. (10/11/2009)
Response: Hi, I could probably get the CA buggy picked up earlier if needed. Basically I'm talking blanketing them on popping the front end of one a couple feet over the front of the other. Let me know ASAP because if this would work I'll do both for $1650 delivered to Port Huron at your convenience - but I need to cancel other bids to make sure I have room for both. Bill (10/11/2009)
Response: hey bill, this whole thing is not going so well. the guy in tuscon is trying to pull a fast one on me and the guy in lindsay is now charging me storage. if you can move the two rolling rails for the 1000.00 bid, i will accept that bid. we will have to worry about the other rail and the parts rails some other time. i just want my 2 nice rails home at this point. the ca rail must be moved this sat, the az rail can go sat-mon. let me know, thanks, henri. (10/20/2009)
Question: be sure to read all feedbacks and check for U.S.DOT/MC NUMBERS MUST HAVE THEM AND INSURANCE TO BE LEGAL OR YOUR RAILS OUR AT RISK (10/9/2009)
Response: i don't understand... could you please explain? (10/9/2009)
Response: if a shipper does not have U.S.DOT/MC NUMBERS AND ONE MILLION LIABILITY INSURANCE THEY ARE NOT LEGAL TO CROSS STATE LINES IF STOPPED AND CAUGHT WITHOUT THEY CAN IMPOUND YOU SAND RAILS THATS THE LAW SO CHECK EVERY ONE OUT AND IF THEY ARE LEGAL THERE INSURANCE CO. SHOULD BE ABLE TO FAX YOU A CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE THAT WAY YOU NO YOU WILL GET THEM SAFE JUST CLICK ON THER NAME OR ASK FOR NUMBERS AND INSURANCE ...BEST OF LUCK (10/9/2009)
Question: AND MAKE SURE WHO EVER IS TELLING YOU ALL TO HAVE SURE KNOWS ALL THE RIGHT AND LEGAL LAW FOR THINGS LIKE INSURANCE IT IS NOT 1MIL IT IS 750 SO YOU KNOW THERE IS OTHER THINGS WE CARRIER 1MILE FOR THE SIMPLE FAST WE MOVE ALOT OF LAMBOS AND AUSTIN MARTINS INFACT (10/10/2009)
Question: WAS $750.000 NEW LAW WE HAD TO UP TO ONE MIL (10/11/2009)
Question: DO YOU STILL NEED THIS DONE!!!!!! (10/13/2009)
Question: you may get a better rate if you split the two into seperate listings... chuck (10/13/2009)
Question: Hi, Any word? Bill (10/14/2009)
Response: hello, i thought i had a deal put together for this shippment. i have not been able to contact the outfit for 5 days now. in the meantime i have purchased another buggy. so... i have one in lindsay CA, one in seligman AZ and one in tuson AZ. the one in tuson is the frame and rear axle, the engine/tranny not installed and some front tires and some other small parts. i am also looking at 2 bare frames and several parts from the guy in seligman. how much can you carry on one trip? it might be faster if you call me on my cell and we can talk about it all and go from there. [phone number removed] thanks, henri. (10/18/2009)
Response: Hi Henri, We can't send contact info until a bid is accepted so Uship edited the number out. How much we can carry depends on how they need to be packed. Are you going to paint them when you get them? Thanks, Bill (10/18/2009)
Response: Hey Bill I did not know about the phone thing... This is a real pain, I'm not computer savy. Anyway, my only concern is the two running rails that they don't get damaged. The rail in Tucson has no paint, needs sandblasting anyway. The bare frames both have scratchs. A few more isn't going to harm anyone. As long as there are not dents/damage to the machines, pile them to the ceiling...no matter to me. The guy with the runner and all the parts in seligman can assist with loading the frames and parts providing it's a sat, sun, or mon. The frames are very light, 2 guys can carry no problem and stack them up. Several VW trannys, engines, wheels, and smaller parts. The chassis in Tucson is a complete rail, not completed yet. There is very little on it yet. No front suspension or anything yet. There is some aluminum tin on the roof and sides I would not want to get tweaked, other than that you could pile on it as much as needed. I can send pics... Thanks Playt (10/18/2009)
Response: Hi Henri, I'm not sure how much of that I can get in, I think quite a bit of it. It's very difficult to know without seeing them though. I'll bid on bringing the 1 from California for now, I know I can fit that. Bill (10/19/2009)
Response: hello bill, i appreciate you trying to work with me here. i would kind of prefer to hammer out a good price for the entire shippment before i start moving things all over and have to deal with customs multiple times. i think between all i have, there is a good full load for someone to haul. how can i get you pics of everything? henri. (10/19/2009)
Response: OK - I don't have an empty trailer - but thanks for considering us. Bill (10/19/2009)
Response: sorry bill, i couldent reply right away, was out working. i'm unsure of what you can supply for me.the whole shippment or part? how much? the lindsay guy is charging storage now, it must leave this sat. let me know, henri. (10/19/2009)
Response: Hi, I can't do the 2 for $1000 - I'd offered to do 2 for $1500. That still stands. Bill (10/20/2009)
Response: hey bill, this shippment is turning into a nightmare. the bid for 1000.00, what was that for? i think the guy in tuscon is trying to pull a fast one on me so that buggy is off the load. so...the one in ca needs to go on saterday. the guy put in paid storage on me when my last shipper went sour.it is costing me 10.00/day since sun. there is the other roller in az plus 2 light frames and the parts. if you pile the frames and the parts go in the buggys, can you do the whole load? let me know how much you can do and when. i just want my rails now before something else goes wrong. thanks, henri. (10/20/2009)
Response: Hi Henri, The $1000 was for 1 of them - I know I have room for that and I know we can get it Saturday. We can deliver it to the border to coordinate with someone else if they could get the AZ buggies. I can leave the this one on a trailer at my parents house 1 hour from Port Huron to be delivered there at your convenience. It's very hard to committing to hauling more without knowing what exactly is there. I don't want to say I can haul it and find out I was wrong. Bill (10/20/2009)
Response: ok, i have everything nailed down now... 1 buggy in lindsay, 1 buggy in tuscon, 1 buggy in seligman. everything is ready to go with 2 days notice. need to get ca buggy out of storage on fri for sat. also in seligman is a bunch of parts consisting of... 2 light frames can be stacked, 5 small vw engines and trannys, a few wheels, a couple of boxes of small parts. the guy will have everything boxed. any parts that can go in/on the rail he will take care of. everything will be ready to load up quickly when you get there. his timeframe is sat-mon. hope this helps you figure things alittle better. let me know, henri. (10/21/2009)
Question: where is the az buggy? chuck (10/15/2009)
Question: Do you still need this done? (10/16/2009)
Response: hello, the buggy in lindsay is 12' long, under 7' wide at rear, 5' wide at front and abit less than 5' high. weighs 1000-1200lbs. the second buggy in seligman az is almost the same +/- an inch or two. the third buggy in tuscon az is about 1.5 or so feet longer. i am also looking at 2 more chassis, several VW engines and trannys, some wheels and some small parts. heads, exhaust etc. been trying to find 1 outfit to haul all. the frames and parts can be stacked no problem, scratchs ok...dents not ok. they need a blast and paint anyway. the first 2 rails are complete/running machines... start it up and drive/push on. if i was going to split the load, i would want the lindsay and tuscon rails on one. everything else is in one yard in seligman... the front wheels have no brakes so if you needed to remove wheels to fit better, no problem. every machine has a guy to help load the equiptment. let me know what you can do for me. thanks for the interest, henri. (10/19/2009)
Response: Hi Henri, I am sure that we can acommodate all of your shipment but it will probably take up the whole trailer and I will have to charge you accordingly, What would you be willing to pay for 1 carrier to do all of this??? (10/19/2009)
Response: hello, i have had several bids for several different ways. i can get it done from 2 different guys for about 2000 total. i would prefer 1 carrier. if i can find 1 guy for the 2000.00 your in. i just spoke to the lindsay guy, he is charging me 10.00/day storage now. this rail HAS TO BE PICKED UP THIS SAT!!! the rest are more flexable. let me know asap so we can get it going. thanks, henri. (10/19/2009)
Question: Hello Bill I will be out in calif around 11/8 and heading back home to detroit, can you give me the specs of 2nd buggy, if I can get them to fit on trailer we can do this for your target price thanks rich (10/19/2009)
Response: hello I was thinking I mite be able to get 2 of them on an auto trans port, I will be heading out to S F on the 4th with aa 16ft box truck and can grab the transport for the 2 . . . if you think that will work let me know, tthanks rich (10/19/2009)
Response: hello, i'm alittle unclear. can you pick up this entire load? how much for everything? the lindsay guy is charging storage now...MUST be picked up this sat. no later. let me know asap. thanks, henri. (10/19/2009)
Response: Sorry henri we wont be out there til at least the 11/9 (10/20/2009)
Response: storage till then will cost me an extra 250-300 till then. if you can do the package for 2000.00, i can still pull that together. thanks, henri. (10/20/2009)
Response: Hello Henri, what i can do is put 2 rails on the auto transport and then fit what I can in the what room thats left in the back half of the 16ft truck, we are looking at like 2300 for this, let me know if this works thanks, rich (10/20/2009)
Response: thanks for the effort, if everything will not fit, i would have to make a second trip. by the time i figure on another trip, the extra storage costs and dealing with customs twice, it is going to drive the cost up to high. thanks, henri. (10/21/2009)
Response: ok Henri, well if you can get an accurate list of what is actually being pickup it would help thanks Rich (10/21/2009)
Response: in seligman we have... 1 complete rail, 2 light bare frames can be stacked, 5 small vw engines and trannys, 6 or so wheels, couple boxes of small parts. seller will put some parts in/on rail. everything will be ready to load when you arrive. his timeframe is any sat-mon. need 2-3 days notice to prepare. the ca and tuscon rails have to move now so someone else will have to move them. thanks, henri. (10/21/2009)
Question: Hey henri what i can do is instead of a 16ft I can take a 24 and try and and get everything in that (10/20/2009)
Response: if you can go do the rail and parts in seligman with that trailer for around 1000.00, that date of november could work. i have to remove the ca rail in the next couple days. thanks, henri (10/21/2009)
Response: hey Henriok we can pickup the stuff in seligman the week of the 10th and deliver to you within 5 days for $1100, let me know if this will work for you thanks rich (10/21/2009)
