WANT TO BRING SOMETHING INSIDE THE TRAILER? YOU'RE WELCOME TO IF IT HELPS WITH COST

I just bought a 1968 24 ft Airstream trailer--~3985 lbs, good tires, seller says it is ready to tow--but I am not sure if the running lights work (see picture).

I want to get it to Willow Creek, CA but would consider San Francisco or Redding. Could pick it up at any of these places or somewhere else close, but in this order of preference:

1. BEST: Straight to Willow Creek CA :)
2. San Francisco, CA
3. Redding, CA

Price negotiable to distance, but I can afford between $500 and $900 depending on where you bring it to.
PS I am a college student trying really hard to get ahead so I am preparing to move onto my friend's land in the trailer--have mercy on me!! ;)

Thank you, Bell

Questions for this shipment:

Question: joy, i can pick up asap & deliv within 3to4 days of pu for 1500. thanks (2/18/2007)
Response: Hi Larry-- I am hoping you will bid again...I saw your shipment to Oregon...I have a little more money to work with now. (3/5/2007)
Question: Joy, i want to deliv your rv & will work with u on price. i believe the weight is around 5000lbs, if we can agree on .65 per loaded mile we have a deal & i'll pick up within the enxt 2or3 days. most transporter will charge .90 per mile & up (2/19/2007)
Response: Hi Larry-- I checked online (http://www.airstream.com/airstream/product_line/customer_service/docs/weights-1.pdf) and it's actually closer to 4000. The 1960's twin Tradewind models were all between 3200 and 4080. I am 99% positive by the floorplan that it's a 1968, which is 3985#. I realize you're being generous with your offer, but it's still high for me. I could possibly do $1000.... (2/20/2007)
Question: I may have missed it can you tell me what size hitch/ball it has. Thanks Mel (2/20/2007)
Response: it's 2 and 5/16. (2/22/2007)
Question: Hold out kid there are guys on here that will haul this for $0.25, a loaded mile. (2/26/2007)
Question: Have you ever consider how much it cost to buy a gl of diesel. Calculate this, the transporters is not making any profit from this shipment. You looking at a 2000 dollars shipments here. (3/3/2007)
Question: Hi Bell, I'm sorry, but I cannot do for your price, thank you for the request and good luck, Cody (3/4/2007)
Question: does this have current plates? You say you don't think the running lights work? do you know this for sure? Larry (3/4/2007)
Response: To both questions, I am not sure and will ask the person selling it to me. I assumed the lights didn't work because of the "in tow" label on the back (see picture on listing), but the seller's ad said: "IT has new tires and is ready to tow wherever you need to... " I will ask about the plates. If they are not current do you have any suggestions? I have never done this before. thank you! (3/4/2007)
Question: Hi Joy, when will u be ready to ship ? i can pick up sometime this week if this will work u let me know & i'll bid. thanks, larry (3/6/2007)
Response: Hi Larry--The former owner should have recieved his payment by Saturday at the latest. So anytime after that. thanks, Bell (3/7/2007)
Question: Joy I lowered my bid to $1000 door to door price. I hope this helps you I can try my best to get it there mid to late next week and definately within your timeframe before April 1 We are pros and moved many such items before Being a retired mechanic for over 25yrs I have no problems working with the lights or come what may. I assure you I can get this done for you promptly and professional and I can guarantee communication along the way so you will have a good idea when to expect me. I always call prior to delivery from the road. I can also work with an alternate desination come what may. Thanks again Brian (3/7/2007)
Response: I would accept in a heartbeat--but I don't see the bed. It looks like you cancelled both of your bids... so I am confused! I would really like to use your service because you sound like a true professional. I will be online until 1:30 Pacific today so if you are out there, make a bid again!:) (3/7/2007)
Question: Joy, Honestly I made a typo in the my last post my original bid was $1500 and I can do it for you for that cause counting my gas and all I would need that to be perfectly honest. I want to be up front about that. I am a professional and can get this to you safe and sound and as I said I live just outside Dallas so I am close to pickup I can deliver before April 1 maybe even sooner as requested in previous email. Let me check out my schedule. I always try to accomodate my customers as best as I can. Thanks sorry for any confusion. Brian the maxview (3/7/2007)
