Question: Hello, We would be happy to take this for you on our low flatbed. We could pick up in ten days and deliver for $1.00 per mile with no wear put on your trailer. Thanks for considering us. -Doug & Kari (Door2Door)

Response: Thanks for the quote. Does that mean from door to door one way - - meaning about $3,000? (5/6/2008)

Response: Yes. I could do this for you for $2800 and my DOT numbers are in order as well but I just booked another job. Sorry.

Question: What are your preferred timeframes for service? (5/7/2008)

Response: I would want the boat in Idaho the first week or so in June. I have some flexibility but not later than June 14.
I needed an answer to the question of $1 a mile - MapQuest says 2,700 miles from start to destination. Would the quote then be for that amount? (5/7/2008)

Response: I did a map search as well and came up with similiar mileage figures. My rate would for you would be 2800.00 towed on its own trailer and by your deadline with ease. The only thing I wanted to verify was the weight. Is the weight and dimensions you provided the actual figures for the entire outfit with trailer? The only reason I asked was because your boat is a very large boat but she is sitting on an aluminum trailer with only 2 3500 lb axles(the 5 lug axles in the picture). If the weight you provided is the actual weight of the whole outfit she should fine for a long trip and I would be more than happy to book you in right away as I always book well in advance. (5/7/2008)

Response: I spoke with the dealer. The boat and trailer would be right at 7,000 lbs. It has a Torsion Axle Trailer (whatever that means) and is suppose to be a strong trailer. At one point you mentioned hauling it on a flat bed.
Please excuse my asking, but how do I verify the security of having you haul this cross country - - insurance wise and such? I appreciate you helping me feel comfortable with something like this. (5/7/2008)

Response: I believe you were speaking to two different people. I am the one who just responded to you. At the beginning of the email you just got it will show who I am here on this site. The person that inquired about hauling it on a flatbed is another company. The width on your boat would prevent me from hauling her on my flatbed. The figure I gave you is for towing it to you. The torsion axle is a good set-up for you boat and with the boat you have your set-up is good for a long trip. As for verifying me or my company(totally different from the one that asked you the very first question) you can click on my name attached to this email and it will take you to my profile here on uship and allow you to view my previously recieved feedback and history as well as pictures of jobs I did here on this site. You can also go onto the DOT/FMCSA website, safersys.org, and enter my information you see in my profile(name) and it will verify me, who I am and my certification. (5/7/2008)

Response: Thanks - - let me put the deal together and I'll get back to you. I didn't want to buy the boat unless I was certain I could get it there. So to be clear. You will pick up from Myrtle Beach South Carolina and deliver it to Idaho for $3,000 all inclusive (unless repairs are needed). (5/7/2008)

Response: I never charge for repairs while on the road unless they require parts in which case I only charge for the parts. My labor is all included in my bid unless it is something I cannot fix that someone else needs to but that would be a very rare occasion as my truck is equipped to handle just about anything(full tools, extra bearings, extra spare tires with rims from 4 lug all the way up to 8 lug, from 4 ply to 14 ply). The figure I quoted you was 2800.00 total from point A(Myrtle Beach,SC) to point B(Hope, ID) but if you wish to give me 3000.00 I guess I won't turn it down but I only need 2800.00. Feel free to complete your transaction on your boat confident that I will be available to provide you with outstanding service you will not disappointed with. All I would like is to book her well in advance so I can get the schedule together with adjoining runs. (5/7/2008)

Response: Looks like this is going to happen. Keep your schedule open for this. I just need to have an inspector go check the boat for me. (5/8/2008)

Response: No problem. I will enter my bid and you can accept when you are ready. Thanks again. (5/8/2008)

Response: I should know by Monday. . . if you need a deposit let me know. (5/8/2008)

Response: Actually I do require one to secure the route and scheduling. You can see my specifics on my bid details. But we would not be able to hammer anything out until my bid is accepted. At that time my email and phone number and other contact info would be provided to you. That's the way uship policy is. (5/8/2008)
