Question:
2/16/2013
hello i have a shipment that is on the same route and we have the equipment and know how to safely move your piano, we can pick up and deliver 3/6/13-3/9/13. would these dates work for you? also are there stairs and or help at the pick up and delivery locations?Report a Violation
Response: I am told the piano is in a ground-level basement, so no steps involved. I can assist with unloading the piano here (again, no steps). As I'm a piano dealer, I also have ramps, dollies, etc. As for help in loading, I will have to ask the seller. The dates you suggest should be OK. Seller says he can arrange help to load. You can back around yard and piano comes right out with one 8" step to patio.2/17/2013Report a Violation
Response: that is great. thank you for the fast reply. do the dates work for you? 2/17/2013Report a Violation
Response: The seller tells me he is not free the week of March 3rd or the week of March 18th. There may be some flexibility there, but I'd have to ask. If you'd care to, submit a bid and the dates you are considering.2/17/2013Report a Violation
Response: I submitted my bid please let me know if you have any question. if the bid I right please accept it so we can scedule this shipment. thank you 2/18/2013Report a Violation
Response: Thanks for your bid, but $900 is more than I can pay for this move.2/18/2013Report a Violation
Response: it's not $900 it's $581. 2/18/2013Report a Violation

Response: I would accept 500. Do you have 4-wheel dolly and a ramp or liftgate to get the piano up on your truck? Also, if you use an open truck, can you cover the piano well?2/19/2013Report a Violation
Response: I put in a bid for 500. yes sir we have a lift gate and dollies. 2/19/2013Report a Violation
Question:
3/6/2013
Hey Philip! I could've done the move this week for the book it now price but just wanted to confirm that there would be help to load and unload as I am a solo driver. Thanks! - BurliReport a Violation
Response: Hi. We'd need to contact the guy where the piano will be picked up. I think he is away this week and returning in a couple days. He says he can get some loading help at that end. Are you at all flexible in your pick-up date? Let me know what you can do and I'll contact the guy in Fort Wayne. Philip3/6/2013Report a Violation
Response: Hey Philip, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately tomorrow is the only day I can pick it up. However I was thinking, if there are no steps or anything, I can just put the piano on my 4 wheel dolly and roll it into the trailer, as long as someone is there to let me in of course.what do you think?3/6/2013Report a Violation
Response: Not sure. The owner is away, but I think I can contact him by email. He'd found a friend to let the previous mover in, but that mover cancelled at the last minute. Therefore, the guy is now gun-shy. I'll get back to you tonight if I hear anything. Philip3/6/2013Report a Violation
Response: Okay great!3/6/2013Report a Violation
Response: Looks like it might be a "go" for tomorrow. Would you care to submit your bid on UShip? We can then exchange contact information. I can get the Fort Wayne man to contact you tonight and you can figure out how you want to do it. The move is straight out the back door, and I think you can back across the yard. Loading help is a possibility, but you'll have to plan that with the seller. Philip3/6/2013Report a Violation
