Response: Wade, I tried to get the piano yesterday. I need a lift gate on a truck. The piano has been in the family for years and our Aunt is moving to Kentucky. The piano is sitting 4 feet inside her front door in Mundelein. There are no steps there, just an average door threshold. The piano needs to be rolled 25 feet down the front sidewalk and to the druck in the driveway. At the other end, the truck can back up to the front door allowing 10 feet or less travel to the front door. There is an 8 inch concrete step to the door. Once inside the piano will need to go up two steps and moved 25 feet across an oak floor to it's new home in my living room. No doors require disassembly. We just couldn't lift the piano up 3'-0" to get it into me Chevy 1 ton van. It's heavy. I needed a power lift gate and it would be done. Moving it on the ground requires some TLC but getting it off the ground and into the truck requires some mechanicals I don't have. Need padded covers and tie downs. Thank (2/25/2008)
