Response: If someone got hurt I'd croak! Since it's been sitting for several years the brakes squash flat to the floor. The starter isn't starting and I'm sure it has bad gas and oil by now. Parts aren't easy to find and even a filter has to be ordered special. The engine on an Ultravan is a corvair of all things also! Corvairs take a #1038 NAPA oil filter that is a special order (no one caries them in stock). The engine uses 10W-30 oil (4.5 quarts with filter change), Walmart's SuperTech is fine but use the 10W-40 if you use it. That weight has more ZDDP which the Corvair needs. If 10W-30 is used it is best to use a GM oil supplement. the transmission takes 4 quarts of Dextron III fluid and the diff take two quarts of 80w-90 grease with a anti-slip additive (Positraction). I use Walmart's SuperTech "Multi-Vehicle Transmission Fluid". For the diff I use Mobil One 75W-90 but Walmart is fine. How far are you from the UV? (5/15/2008)
