Questions for this shipment:

Question: Ill do it for $2800 if its ok double tarped... (7/13/2007)
Response: This package is fragile, new, traveling many miles and therefore I was hopeing to keep it out of the wind and weather. How would you package it to protect it? Also, Coquitlam is a border town in Canada, are you O.K. with that? Is cargo such as this something that could be insured and do you offer that? (7/13/2007)
Response: After Uship deducts its fee which is roughly 12%, I would only get about $2500 for this shipment. (7/13/2007)
Question: Airplane would be wrapped in several blankets, plastic, and tarps to protect from moisture and wind. Top tap would be stretched to add wind resistance. For this price I would only meet at border, not at all familiar with border patrol methods, and the last thing I would want would be the protective covering compromised. I would spend at least an hour wrapping and securing airplane. I am unable to offer insurance. My price would also cover your listing/match fee which Uship charges on each bid acceptance. I would also ask 50% prior to starting my commute to secure transport. I will be in close contact with you throughout the trip to your satisfaction. (7/13/2007)
Response: Do you think you could do this with no damage? Also do you drive non stop with a partner or will you have stops along the way? Just wondering about theft and time factor. Thanks again. (7/13/2007)
Response: ... in original condition. (7/14/2007)
Question: Hello Shipper, I could transport this to the border for $2800 plus Uship. Please let me know if this will work. You can have this insure through Uship. Thanks Phillips 4 Transporting (7/13/2007)
Response: Hi. You mention that if your rig breakes down or problems with DOT customer is responsible for break down cost. Can you explain what you mean by that? Also, do you have a enclosed trailer? Thanks for your question. (7/13/2007)
Response: Yes, I have enclosed trailer. To explain what I mean by breakdown is only for people that are transporting on ground such as RV, travel trailers, autos, tire blowout on equipment being transported. I hope I made this clear if not please let me know and I will give more examples. What is your target price for meeting at the border and how soon can this be transported. Thanks Phillips 4 (7/13/2007)
Response: Enclosed trailer sounds great. Target price for Border, make a offer. I am clear on blow out etc. How long to transport. What are the dimensions of your trailer inside measurements? Tentative pick up date, 2nd or third week in September. I am flexible it is just that the aircraft completion due date is Labor day. Thank you. (7/14/2007)
Question: I would also use cloth straps not chain to secure to trailer. (7/13/2007)
Response: That sounds good as plane is built with pine wood and cloth for covering. What could you do to ensure the tail feathers dont snap or break from weight of tarp and wind? Thanks. (7/13/2007)
Response: I would use metal stakes to curve over the plane and attach to either side of the trailer so that the top tarp, which would be of heavy duty material, never touches the aircraft. It would resemble a covered wagon. It would be my pleasure to transport your airplane for you, and I could leave from my home in Ohio to Georgia as soon as next Friday if you decide to accept my bid. Would you be interested in me doing so? (7/13/2007)
Response: Will be ready mid September. Sounds like you can deliver without a scratch, am I reading you correctly? (7/14/2007)
Question: I only used enclosed trailers and could bring this to northern calf. around Sept. 1st if that would help. Please advise. Joe (7/13/2007)
Response: Does not work, thank you anyway. (7/14/2007)
Question: I would definately drive with a partner to obtain the most mileage possible in one stretch. Of course we will need rest, but I'm sure I could pickup and deliver to you within 3 days. (7/13/2007)
Response: Hi again and thank you for your responses. My deal is that the target due date for this aircraft to be completed is Labor day (September 3rd).In the unlikely event a finishing part is held up the pick up date may have to be extended a little but is not expected. Are you flexible? (7/14/2007)
Response: http://www.uship.com/tips/showtip.aspx?tipid=24 (7/15/2007)
Question: Very flexible once bid is accepted, and deposit is paid. At that point I am on your time. I would ask that if at all possible I recieve at least a 5 business day notice on pickup... (7/14/2007)
Response: That would not be a problem. Thank you. (7/14/2007)
Response: Youre very welcome. I will now place my bid. (7/14/2007)
Response: Thank you. (7/14/2007)
Response: Yes, pickup and delivery will be flawless. I did not have room in bidding details to mention that the balance is due upon dellivery. Mid September would be great. (7/14/2007)
Response: Sounds good, you understand that Engine and wings are to be transported as well. The plane is a complete working aircraft it does not show the engine at this point as it is still in production. The wings are 12' long each and I am guessing around 5' from leading edge to trailing edge. The total weight should not exceed 350 pounds including engine. There will be someone at each end to help with loading and unloading. Hope this helps. Thanks for bidding. (7/14/2007)
Response: Use this link, it will tell you more. In addition, your aircraft will be transported fully enclosed whether it be a factory-built enclosed trailer, or the method I mentioned earlier in which an enclosure would be built around the aircraft that is structurally (sp) sound. (7/15/2007)
