Questions for this shipment:

Question: are both units simmilar size and weight? thanks jim (5/22/2008)
Response: You got it. The should be almost identical. 500 lbs 12'Lx4'Wx4'H. Thanks. (5/22/2008)
Response: could do it for around $550, thats $225 each way. whats your target range? would need to do it in next couple weeks if possible. thanks jim (5/22/2008)
Response: Jim - Thank you for your contact. Here's where I am for a target. I have a conversion van with a Class 1 hitch. I am figuring 15 mpg with it. So roughly 30 gallons at $4.00/gal. That's $120 fuel one-way for me. Plus, a Uhaul trailer rental $30.00. And just for good measure I'll toss in a hotel stay in case some other panty waste goes with me and can't hack a roundtrip in one day. This brings the cost of completing this haul myself to approximately $350.00. That would be my target. I am operating on the assumption on a malleable haul schedule someone without the constraints of time will be able to combine this haul with another haul to make everything feasible. Worst case, I resort to delivery and picking up myself. Thanks. Darrin (5/23/2008)
Response: lol liked your answer, but i couldn't do it for $350. i live 125 miles from pickup (mich) point and would be doing a special trip. i would deliver to you first then drop back off in mich, if that would work. is it a for sure trade? I could come down some to $450 if i could get it done in next couple weeks. sorry best i can do. thanks again jim (5/23/2008)
Response: The trade is on. That deal is closed. Indiana Jones is back on screen. Maybe someone else will have a precious artifact that needs move, allowing your bid to drop to $350.00, and you make $100k or so for safe delivery of the Dead Sea Scrolls or something. All the best...have a Great weekend with a big G! (5/23/2008)
Response: well if i make my $100k, i'll do your move for free! best of luck with your shipment. you have a great holiday also. jim (5/24/2008)
Response: Thank you kindly. (5/27/2008)
Response: i put my bid in for this friday/saturday, take care jim (5/28/2008)
Response: Jim - I just heard back from the other party. Aeroliftusa.com is "wide open Friday", assuming 8 to 5 and "Saturday until Noon", assuming 8 to 12. Can you make this work? Thanks. Darrin (5/29/2008)
Question: does it matter which way the round trip starts? do both sides whave a way to load/unload into a 7x14 enclosed cargo trailer? thanks (5/25/2008)
Response: Sorry for the delayed response. It does not matter which would be the origin and destination. Both parties will have means to load the booms into an enclosed trailer. I will re-confirm the overall length of both booms if it looks like you may be able to combo up multiple hauls and assist. Appreciate it. Thanks. Darrin (5/27/2008)
Response: Please do confirm dimensions. I live off i94 in MI and bought some equipment in st louis area. I know I'd have the room from MI down, but want to make sure I'd have enough space coming back. I do have cargo insurance on anything I carry. Thanks, James (5/27/2008)
Response: James - The dimensions of my boom are 148"(L)x38"(W)x32"(H). This would be the one returning to MI with you. Thanks. Darrin (5/27/2008)
Response: I'll know by Friday if I am making the trip or not. I've got a neighbor coming thru st louis and he might pickup my equipment on his way back. I'm looking at 300 in fuel alone for the trip, kinda the same position as you, if I can get someone going by It would be a lot cheaper for me. I got to get the machine out soon too. (5/27/2008)
Response: 10-4. Keep me posted. (5/28/2008)
Question: hey Darrin, i might be getting in your price range if i could do a weekend pickup/delivery next weekend. might be able to work around that, if thats not possible. take care, jim (5/25/2008)
Response: Super! I would certainly work it into my schedule. I believe the other party operates a rental business so I am operating on the assumption weekends are not a problem. However, I will confirm if things look like they are going to fall together for you. Thanks. Darrin (5/27/2008)
Response: i bid it, thanks jim (5/28/2008)
Response: Thanks Jim. I am awaiting the confirmation from MI on pickup/delivery schedule. (5/29/2008)
Response: i could just bring boom home to lansing saturday night and deliver it to detroit area monday morning. as long as i can get with you on saturday, i can work around thier schedule in michigan. but you would have to pay when i deliver to you cash only please. just can't risk a check, at todays fuel prices. could do a postal money order if need be, offer expires tomorrow morning thanks again jim (5/29/2008)
Response: Jim - Thank you for your response. I'll confirm Monday morning delivery is okay with the other party. I will make myself available to your travel schedule over the weekend. I don't mean to offend, but considering the nature of this transaction, being a swap between two parties who are barely acquainted, then a third party (you) who neither one of us knows, I would much prefer writing a personal check to serve as a receipt of payment orginating from me (my address, my phone, etc. is on the check). THE CHECK IS GUARANTEED GOOD. I can provide you a photocopy of my driver's license at time of pickup to provide evidence of my identity as well and/or a checking account balance summary statement OR we can go cash the check together at my bank in town. I devoted my life to Christ when I was fourteen years young. Do Unto Others is an adopted belief I cherish. I am entrusting you with the safe delivery of a boom I owe a gentleman I barely know. I want to see the interest of all protected. Thanks (5/29/2008)
Question: Is this a run I can do on a weekend with a Saterday or Sunday delivery on either end. (5/27/2008)
Response: I believe the other party operates a rental business so I am operating on the assumption weekends are not a problem. However, I will confirm if things look like they are going to fall together for you. (5/28/2008)
Question: $500 for round trip and 24 hr delivery on open trailer, interested?? respond (5/28/2008)
Response: Thank you for your contact. I am shooting for more like half of $500 in a scenario where multiple shipments can be combined along the route. I figure $250ish is fuel and time one way..hoping to piggyback something on the return trip. I am not trying to lowball everyone just remain patience until an opportunity presents itself. Time is my side for once. Thanks again. (5/28/2008)
Question: I am responding to your request for a bid on Truss Boom. I can probably get this done for you, however I am thinking it will be 10-14 days before I can get to it. If you have not gotten service before then, contact me. I can do $200 each way each pc. I just left your area yesterday and could have taken care of this for you. Better luck next time I guess. Thanks, Bernard (6/19/2008)
Response: Yeah, darn it. If you are the person I am thinking of, I saw that haul and figured I missed it. Anyhow, I need to update my listing...this haul is one-way now. I was attempting to arrange a swap with the seller in MI, but it fell through. So now I am looking hook-up with another haul. There is a Woods batwing mower comes this way and a Chevy grain truck of which the boom would fit right in the back. At $200, I will keep you in mind as an option if you can combo with something else that makes good sense for you. Thank you for your contact. (6/19/2008)
Question: I will monitor your shipment and advise you when I am in the area again. Thanks, Bernard (6/19/2008)
Response: Thanks Bernard. I appreciate it. (6/19/2008)
Response: I think I can do for you this weekend. $200.00 (6/24/2008)
Response: I am guilty of what irritates my ham meat - not updating listings. The item delivered today via common carrier, R & L trucking. The cost was $171.33. Thank you for your contact though. I will update my listing momentarily. (6/24/2008)
