Question: Has the flybridge be removed? if not the actual height is 15'11" according to the boat guide. Or is this the tri-cabin? (10/30/2009)

Response: The bridge is still up, but I plan to remove it and the steering station next week. All components on upper deck will be dropped on rear deck and secured for shipping. If you have any further questions drop me a line. Dean (10/30/2009)

Response: Average price for a boat this size is $3.00 per mile. This boat also requires an escort part of the way, they are charging about $1.50 per mile. (10/30/2009)

Response: Jim, Thanks for the offer, I have a few questions for you. 1. Can you haul the boat without the flying bridge being removed? {15'11"} 2. Would you even consider hauling it to Skagway AK? My plan is to barge it to Juneau from Seattle, but if offer was comparable I would consider having it hauled all the way. 3. My date is very flexable as to work out details and timing, I can go at a down time for you. Thanks (10/31/2009)

Response: On my trailer it would be about 17' tall. A lot of states won't even give you a permit for that tall, and if they do it is considered a SUPERLOAD. This means 1st a route survey must be done for the entire route @ $1.50 per mile, 2nd the route could wind up being undreds of miles longer to miss low bridges, Washington has a lot of low bridges under 14'6" tall. 3rd it would probably involve police escorts, utility trucks to move wires, a lot of expense and planning. For about $1500 you can remove and install the flybridge. I am not set up for Canada right now, but I can take it to Port Angeles or Anacortes or Blaine, Washington. (10/31/2009)

Response: Thanks for the note back, I will be in MI this Wendnesday and start work on the bridge. I am in IA right now with meetings, but will be in contact with you more. I would like to ship later then sooner. Is that a problem? My arrival in Juneau is about the middle of Dec. (10/31/2009)

Response: That works for me, most of November is already booked up. (10/31/2009)

Response: I'm sorry it has been a few weeks to respond but I have been trying to work out details. I am having to change dates on shipping time to Apr. of 2010 and have great flexability at that time. The boat is blocked in at the storage place and I need time to make a few repairs and teardown the bridge. If you are willing to work with me on these dates I would be willing to pay you a retaining fee if one was needed. Thanks Dean (11/18/2009)

Question: If you are still interested in bids to Skagway, AK My initial estimate puts it @ $16,000. To Seattle I'd be able to match the current best bid of $7500. Please let me know which destination you would like me to bid on.
Thank you,
Dave0415 (11/17/2009)

Response: Dave, I''m looking at Seattle as we have a contact w/shipping bardge in AK. I have been working on this end to cordinate dates and it looks as if March is the best all around time. If this time frame would work fpor you in booking let me know and how much of a retainer fee is needed. Thanks Dean (11/18/2009)

Response: Dean, March is when things start getting busy for me, so the last week of Feb or the first week of March will work. Booking this far in advance the only thing that may change your total cost is if diesel fuel jumps in cost. If that happens I would have to add a fuel surcharge. Uship will want thier fee immediately. I would like ten percent as a retainer which reserves the place in the schedule. Dave (11/19/2009)
