Question: Shipper, I'm interested in your shipment and I have some quick questions before I submit a formal bid. Do you have a time frame or dates you prefer? Are there any special provisions or peculiar things to be addressed? Presently I still have space for your shipment. Please review my profile and feed back paying close attention to the number of negative, neutral and cancelled shipments. Don’t hesitate to verify if I meet the standards as a Legal Carrier as per Uship’s educational link
uship.com/vehicles/articles/choosing-an-auto-transporter/
I will submit a formal bid per your request, after you have reviewed my qualifications and track record.

Response: Hello Veterans Transport! Thanks for contacting me. My time frame is essentially fixed, that is to say, I'd like to have my rig on the road in sufficient time to have it delivered to a Portland area RV park by Oct 31 at the latest. Incidentally, would you include placement and set-up of my travel trailer on-site at the RV Park in your bid? (I'm a singleton and would need quite a lot of help with that.) Also, what sort of insurance do you carry, if any, on your transports....full value? Additionally, I wanted to mention that the specs or stats on my trailers height and weight are guess-timates. It is my home and so it would be loaded with all personal possesions; therefore, I'm not certain what the GVWR would be, if that matters. I'd probably be quite dependent on your expertise in order to get this project off the ground since I have minimal knowledge of prepping/moving a trailer - that is, should you decide to bid on this shippment.
Appreciate your feedback in advance,
Beth (9/23/2007)

Question: OOPs I just saw the dates for pickup and delivery
(9/23/2007)

Response: Hello again, Veterans Transport...
Just wondering if you might still be considering my shippment, and would be making a bid...or might there be a time-frame problem? I'd like to use your service if you'll be available for my transport dates, and the bid works for me.
Thanks,
Beth (9/24/2007)

Response: Beth, it doesn;t look like I'll be in your area during that timeframe after all. This is such an unpredictable trade. I wish I could have helped. You sound like you would be great to work with. (9/24/2007)

Response: Thanks for touching base with me once again. Best wishes in your business ventures, Beth (9/25/2007)

Question: Hello shipper. Just got done moving a nurse and her RV from AZ to Van Nuys. I put in space (she did the connections). I have some open time and willing to pull your trailer. What is your price range. If we can agree on price and move forward I will provide her email address to use for references. Also moving your things inside should be no problem. (9/24/2007)

Response: Hello Inkgeek!
Yes, if you'd be willing to share that reference pertinent to your last delivery (the nurse's RV), I'd like to consider your offer of service. I'm looking for a bid, ideally, in the vicinity of $850-$950 including full value ins., because I need to keep costs low (I'm on a tight budget/limited income.
Thanks for your interest in my shipment.
~Beth (9/25/2007)

Response: I will place the bid for 950.00. I will put a short shelf life on it because I need to either accept this one or I have a second run north I am holding out on. There is no way for me to give you her info. Maybe able to have her give you a referral on this site. (9/25/2007)

Response: Thanks so much for your very tempting bid! I have a feeling that it is my loss for not jumping on it when submitted. Best wishes, Beth (9/26/2007)

Response: I was looking over other bids and Q's and 2 things came to mind. A) I misread the by the 31st to mean of Sept so sorry about the rush, rush lets do it now time frame. B) When exactly are you without doubt wanting this move made? If It fits my schedule I will honor all commitments made thus far. My bad for the misread. Dark Horse Transport. (9/26/2007)

Response: I'm chuckling over here (LOL)....Alrighty, let's try this again:
My target destination to Portland vicinity is Oct. 31, 2007. I thought a four-day transport would give plenty of "padding" of the schedule, should there be in-transit delays (I know it's a 16-hour drive from Elsinore straight up the I-5, or 2 days on the road for me, and I'd need to get there, first, to register with the frontdesk), therefore, I stated Oct 24th - 27th pick up, and Oct. 28th - Oct. 31 for delivery. My trailer must be in place in the RV Park by Oct.31.
Will this work for you? (9/26/2007)

Response: Indeed, my most humble and abject apologies (sorry, as i'm typing this I heard Jafar from Disney movie Aladdin in background, kids watching it) for sleeping through English classes (maybe grammer also). I am open that time frame and will honor all commitments I have made thus far. Sorry, normally I'm not quite the Knothead I sound like. Dark Horse Transport. (9/26/2007)

Question: Hello Beth, I believe your time frams would work for me. (9/25/2007)

Response: Hello, Riverman~
Was wondering if your carrier or flat bed trailer would accommodate to my 37 ft. travel trailer...? Also, do you carry insurance (full value) on shipments, and would this be included in your bid?
If so..(on either or both questions), would you like to submit a bid at this time on my trailer transport?
Thank you for your interest in my shipment, by the way.
Beth (9/26/2007)

Response: Thank you but I only pull trailers. (9/26/2007)

Response: Towing my coach would be fine, and probably more feasible/practical. Care to place a bid? Thanks much for your interest and time, Beth (9/26/2007)

Response: What are your dates for shipping ? (9/26/2007)

Response: I'd like to have my rig on the road by Oct 28, '07 at the very latest, in order to get it set up in an RV park (the delivery point, which will be determined) near Portland by Nov. 1. (9/26/2007)

Response: OK, let me see what I can find for the trip back south. (9/26/2007)

Question: Thank you for the e-mail and sorry for the delay of my response. I've been on the road. Sadly, I will be hauling some vehicles to the Palm Desert area just days before you need to move and your trailer is too high to put on my trailer. By the time your trailer is far enough up onto mine it would be 16.5' or 17' high. I will cancel my bid. If anything happens where I won't be using my trailer at that time,I will certainly re-bid. Thank You. (9/28/2007)

Response: Thank you, Craig, for the courtesy of informing me of your circumstances. (Ironically, I had just logged in to this site with the intent to accept your bid, which I had decided to do yesterday, but was unable to get online....Isn't that the way the cookie crumbles, though...?) Please, by all means, re-bid if there is any possibility that you will be available on Oct. 27 or 28 to tow my coach. Best wishes and regards, Beth (9/28/2007)

Question: What all is involved in yhe set up ? (9/28/2007)

Response: I'd need to have the coach positioned, upon delivery, in the RV Park site which will be reserved for me, and then just level the rig with the scissor jacks to stabilize it. I am unable to do this basic set-up alone. It will need to have the hoses connected, too, and the electric...but I am sure I can either handle that myself or find someone in the park to "supervise" my doing those secondary tasks.. (9/29/2007)

Response: This would not be a problem at all. Have done this many times. I am a full service transporter. Happy to help. Ron (9/29/2007)
