Additional Information: I'm moving from Baker, LA 70714 to Jamestown, TN 38556. I have 12 rescued miniature pigs to move as well as my household items and a mini van.

I will need 6 separate compartments to hold 6 pairs of pigs. They must be separated as they vary in size, age, temperament, and/or handicap disabilities. I can provide the hay for transporting the pigs if need be. The pigs will be micro-chipped, blood tested, and travel with health certificates from the LA State Vet.

Their barns and fencing in TN should be ready close to November 21. I have to move the pigs up first, then follow shortly after with the household items and the mini van (the old pig mobile) has to be towed.

Ideally, I would prefer to use one transporter for all.

Questions for this shipment:

Question: I have placed a bid for your hogs and can also do a haul with trailer after that for home moving. I have 2 trailer options and will give you a good price for rebooking that move with us as well. Thanks and hope to be able to help you move these rescue hogs. SKL (10/28/2006)
Response: What type of trailer or truck would you be using to transport the pigs and can you accomodate the required separation as stated for them? Would you have any objections to me riding up with you? Can you provide an references, particularly any local to the Baton Rouge area and any pet or rescue transports you've done? What size trailer would you have for moving the household stuff? I have a mini van that will need pulled (preferably on a separate trailer) and a 52" lawnmower that will have to go inside the trailer as well. (10/28/2006)
Question: are they all potty-trained? (10/30/2006)
Response: In the house, yes. In transporting, no. (10/30/2006)
Question: We're interested in moving your home and the pigs... How many bedrooms is your home and prospective target price? thanks. (11/3/2006)
Response: I don't see that you have any experience in transporting animals. Not sure I want to go with an inexperienced animal transporter. I would consider using your service for the household items. I have 3 bedroom sets. More boxes than anything else. I'm going to say around $1,000 and work from there. It's under 700 miles and an 11 hour drive. (11/3/2006)
Question: Do you still need transport? (11/8/2006)
Response: Yes. I just got word that weather permitting, their barns in TN will be delivered this Saturday. If all goes well, their accomodations should be ready for them within a week from this Saturday. When would you be available and what price would you charge? Could you make the drive straight through without a lay over? Do you have 6 compartments in the trailer to separate the pigs? They are all paired off. I have to get the pigs tagged and blood tested, and it takes a day or two after to get their health certificates. The paperwork is good for 30 days, but I hope I can move them shortly after receiving. (11/8/2006)
Question: Yes, I will drive straight thru. Yes, I can make 6 compartments in my trailer. Click on my user ID for a photo of my rig and feedback. At this time I am available, just name a date asap so I can try to find a return trip. My trailerhas a mid tack/dressing room that is 10 feet long, I could perhaps also move some of your other stuff. I think you need to renew your listing as this one has apparently expired and does not seem to allow or provide a place to place a bid. I will do this haul for the $950. (11/8/2006)
Response: The barns are supposed to be delivered in TN this Saturday, weather permitting. They should be ready for the pigs somewhere between Nov 15TH to 18TH. I also have to get the pigs tested and ready for transport. I will let you know an exact date as soon as I find out. Otherwise, your offer sounds fine if the time works for you. (11/8/2006)
