Additional Information:
Totally flexible with scheduling a time for the transport of an MGA to NJ. If you plan a drop off in Maine, you need not return with an empty trailer. Am looking for a super deal with this logic in mind - and the fact that the timing is wide open. Perhaps this way you can make a bid on a good p/u south of Maine - and go down with this shipment. Anyway, I don't have much means and this is a family car getting passed on to next of kin. Can be open trailer ONLY IF WEATHER IS BONE DRY. Otherwise, needs a closed trailer. Thanks.
Questions for this shipment:
Question:
I have a house near hope and regularly travel this route, southbound cargo at this time of the year is at a premium, IE this is the wrond direction for a backhaul. I can do this sometime in the next 14 days for $295 on a space available basis (10/18/2007)
Response:
If you are making a trip Jersey with cargo and space enough for the MG - and can come down significantly in price, I'd be interested. Thanks- (10/18/2007)
Question:
Do you know the price of diesel? to go 420 miles would cost 42 gallons of diesel which would be about $130. So you want someone to haul your car 420 miles for 70 not including tolls. GOOD LUCK (10/22/2007)
Response:
Thank you for taking the time to write. I appreciate your explanation and understand your point. Just to explain my rationale, some people make deliveries this way, and go back empty. I thought that if that were the case, I'm in no rush to have this transported and this could be better than an empty trailer. Bearing in mind both perspectives, what would your best possible offer be - entirely based on the convenience of your schedule. (10/23/2007)
Response:
Considering nothing ever goes that way, the best price i could give you would be around 400. If you get a price lower, you should check to see if the person has a DOT number, and a MC number as this load is going across state lines. Also check to see if they have insurance. The best thing i can suggest is to get your shipment as close as you can to I-95 and up your price to 250 and maybe you will get someone to grab it from you. It wont be me though, sorry. (10/23/2007)
Response:
Many thanks for your council and heads up. You've been very helpful. All the best and safe travels! (10/24/2007)
Question:
theres nothing much coming or going from maine. i can make a trip up and back for around 400. thanks (10/27/2007)
Response:
Thanks - I'm not in any hurry. If you happen to be located up north and pick up a super good job south this could be a little something to make on the ride down. I'm low on income and this is a family car. I'm just wanting to pass it on to "the next of kin". Sure appreciate your response. Keep this in mind if it could "dovetail" with some other job. May thanks. (10/28/2007)
Question:
you requested a bid from me. I have the only 2 bids and you refused both. That is alot lower than market and as diesel climbs daily, I just can't go any lower. I live in Maine and have an abundance of loads in/out of ME that pay 300-600 to the NJ area. I understand your dilema, but it doesn't make sense for me to lower to 200 when I can go to Mass for 225. good luck (11/5/2007)
Response:
Hello, Thanks for your response. I appreciate all you've expressed If you'd still be willing I'd gratefully accept your last bid of $275 at your convenience. Look forward to your response. All the best. (11/5/2007)
