Questions for this shipment:

Question: Good evening wanted to check with you,We have to lock in a pick we are leaving TX on the 14th thanks agman93. Randk (2/7/2008)
Response: Hello, I'm going to hold off until March or April before I ship her. Thank you very much for checking, May I keep yor information so I can contact you when I'm ready to send her? Thank you again, Christine (2/8/2008)
Response: Thank you, We also have a load to WA in Mid to late March and can pick you Holstein up then as well. Look forward to hearing from you again. Thanks Robert(Agman93) (2/8/2008)
Response: Hi Robert, What would you be picking up in WA that she would be trailered with? I'm only asking because my Sister-in-law thought she had the shipping worked out only to discover that they planned to ship the cow in a slant load trailer with horses. Thanks, Christine (2/24/2008)
Response: Hello Christine. She will be shipped in our Sundowner. It is fully enclosed. She will have an 8x7 box stall all to herself. We rarely pull our slant load. We prefer to provide box stalls. It's easier on the horses and show cattle we haul and ourselves. Look forward to working with you. Thanks Robert@RandK (2/24/2008)
Response: Hi Robert, When are you headed out to Texas again? Thanks, Christine (2/26/2008)
Response: Hello Christine, I think I will be in CA 3/15-3/18. Once I pickup your heifer I would be headed back to TX. Should take about 3 days with layovers. I will have one horse coming back to TX as well. As soon as I get firm dates I 'll place another bid. I should have them firmed up in a couple of days. Waiting to hear back from my load going to CA. Thanks Robert (2/26/2008)
Response: Hi Robert, I'm very new to shipping my animals, so please forgive me as I prove my ignorance. I know we don’t exchange person information until after the bid is accepted, but I’m not sure what else is involved. You mentioned that it would take about three days with layovers. Will she stay in the trailer just bedded down with hay and water (which is perfectly fine) or are you putting her in a pen/stall somewhere? Safe Travels, Christine (2/27/2008)
Response: Hello Christine, I will unload her at an approved boarding facility. We only unload at USDA approved facilities not just any boarding facility. I chain and padlock the gates to the stalls at the boarding facilities when I layover. She'll be safe. I 'll take good care of her. I 'll have a better idea on dates in a couple of days. Thanks Robert@RandK (2/27/2008)
Response: Hi Robert, =) The only negative feedback I saw on your site was regarding issues caused by your ranch move… not poor animal care. I was more concerned with her not wanting to get back into the trailer after a full day of travel, than you not taking care of her. She has her own opinions sometimes. I have hauled her in my two horse trailer twice already and she traveled fine. I talked to my Sister-in-Law (the receiver) she said that if you deliver during the week you can drop the heifer off at her work. She works at a vet’s office so they can put her into a pen. That should make the delivery a little easier. Thanks and Safe Travels, Christine (2/27/2008)
Question: Hi i'm John from J and G Transport when are you looking to transport? We can offer you a 7 1/2 x 8 box stall so your holstein cow can lay down if she likes water and feed all the time thanks,John J and G Transport (2/24/2008)
Response: Hi John, For the right transporter and price, I can be REALLY flexible on dates. =) Have you worked with cattle before? Especially "show" or "pet" cattle? We discovered this week that she responds much better to being worked in a horse halter than a cattle halter with a chain. Not mean, just indignant. Ideally I would like her to be bedded down in the stall and just left there until my Sister-in-law picks her up. That may or may not be possible considering you will have other stock in the trailer. Please let me know what your timeline is and the price you are looking at. Thank you, Christine (2/24/2008)
Response: Hi we have hauled a lot of cattle but never a halter broke cow before your cow will have her own stall the stall in front of her will have a potbellie pig the next stall will have mini ponies i'm letting you no what will be in the trailer so every body feels more comfortable about our transport. (2/24/2008)
Response: Hello, Thank you for your bid, unfortuantely it is a bit high for my price range. We've recieved a $300 bid that includes our trailering the cow an hour and a half away to deliver her to the shipper, and then the reciever trailering 1.5 hours to meet the shipper and pick her up. And another bid for $500 that includes the shipping with door to door delivery. At $700, my husband could justify the extra expense of us hauling her and then he would get to visit his family. Thank you again, it sounds like it would have been a nice trailering arangement for her. Safe Travels, Christine (2/26/2008)
Question: Hi again we are waiting for one more transport time and date to come in then we will be ready thanks,John (2/24/2008)
Question: Hi, this lakeviewponies still headed your way on March 1 let me know if you would like me to bid. $500 door to door or $300 meeting up. (2/25/2008)
Response: Hello, You were actually working with my Sister-in-law (Tammy) on this same heifer. I'm very sorry to say that I am going to have to decline your offer; I appreciate all the communication between you and Tammy and had looked forward to working with you. After discovering that the heifer was going to be transported in a slant load with horses, Tammy and I felt that it was not a safe situation. I have 5 horses that have worked cattle, four have competed on Holsteins at penning competitions. Every one of them got worked up when the heifer was put into a pipe corral next to them. Even after two months I wouldn’t trailer them in a slant load together with out worrying about a wreck. Thank you very much for you offer, I am truly sorry it didn’t work out. (I tried to respond to you via her account, but uShip was having server problems and it wouldn’t go through). Safe Travels, Christine (2/25/2008)
Question: Hi just checking to see how your transport hunting is going hope every thing works out for you thanks,John J and G Transport (2/26/2008)
Question: We are coming back your direction. Do you still need your baby shipped? Can offer you a 7 X 8 box stall. If you still need hauling.Get back with me and I will place anohter bid. Thanks (2/27/2008)
Response: Hello, Yes we are still looking to ship her out. I saw on your feed back that ya'll are awesome with horses and I saw the note about the calves. Please forgive me if the following question is rude… but I’ve learned my lesson. Have you had much experience with cattle? We were all set to ship her next week, only to find out that they planned on putting her in the rear most stall of a slant load with horses in the next stall. Based on my horses reaction to her (and they have all worked cattle) I decided that it was an invitation to a huge wreck and declined the bid. A box stall is a MUCH better solution. Please let me know your bid, the dates you would be picking her up and delivering her. Also, are you driving straight through or laying over. Either way, I am completely fine with her staying in the stall with food and water. (It might even be easier for everyone that way). I look forward to hearing from you, Safe Travels! Christine (2/27/2008)
