Question: Can you get the tractor with loaded trailer to a loading dock at both origin and destination? Larrbo (5/11/2008)

Response: I'll look into that. How high do you need it? Full semi-trailer height? (5/11/2008)

Response: Standard, 44-48". I'm figuring 16' + 10' +6'= 32'...Do you feel we can load everything else around the tractor, trailer(filling the trailer before or after we load it). We carry 16' ramps for loading thou not heavy enough for the tractor. We carry pads, ratchet straps and decking. With the decking we can load above. Will there be people to help load? I've been aiming for $125.00 per ft of trailer as my rate, but with a larger shipment such as yours I can cut it to $2800.00. Larrbo (5/12/2008)

Response: I would be very surprised if we can't fit everything around the tractor and trailer. If you can deck over the tractor, there is not a chance that it won't all fit, with plenty of room to spare!
I'm still checking into loading docks.
We can help load if it can be loaded before May 22, but we may not be available after that. There will be help unloading regardless of loading date. (5/12/2008)

Response: I just had a duh moment. The tractor can be loaded/unloaded with a rollback tow truck I'll drop my bid by $100.00 to share in the cost. Larrbo.....PS Developing where we could load 16/17. (5/12/2008)

Response: This is looking promising.
I'll add rollback tow truck to my list of options. 16/17 could be tight, would May 19 work? How long would the delivery take?
Do you have a DOT or MC number for your driver?
Could you add a formal bid to the shipment?

Response: I am retired, I get tired by latter part of day, so I do best in mornings before meds drag me down. I have a driver,Adrian, who is switching from company driver to being an owner operator, he is buying my old truck. We are in the process of reactivating his hauling authority, he used to operate his own straight truck. Hopefully, he will be up and running in a day or two. As soon as we get the go ahead, we will be loading a jon boat in Clinton, Ia. Then picking a shipment out of Paulina, Ia, a little N.E. of you. Then its time to pick up yours I have a sm shipment in St. Louis for Adrian to pick on his way so. from Mo. he will head directly to Tx to deliver yours. We have a reg customer waiting to load us, so the quicker the better. If the paperwork goes thru and activates on the 14th, we load Clinton on 15th, pPaulina on 16th, yours on 17th, load St Louis on 18th, del yours on 19/20. I will be out west with Adrian for the loading, my Dad is in nursing home Sioux City. Larrbo (5/13/2008)

Question: Also what is length of tractor/loader. Larrbo (5/11/2008)

Response: It is 16 feet to the front of the bucket in its flat-down position. (5/11/2008)

Response: We are in the process of changing over our hauling authority. The insurances are in place, it's just a matter of paperwork, and how quick they can run it thru. We hope to be up and running this week, So the 16' or later will work. Does the price of $2800.00 work for you? Larrbo (5/12/2008)
