Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Can this be done on a Saturday? (10/8/2008)
Response:
Yes...that is possible...if you are talking about Oct 18th (10/8/2008)
Response:
I missed your dates you had listed for shipment. I am only able to make this haul on 10/11 or 10/25. I would be able to haul it for you on my 8x24 gooseneck for $600. (10/8/2008)
Response:
I need to move the trailer also. Can you do that with your gooseneck?...I don't think so. (10/12/2008)
Response:
No, I would not be able to load both the trailer and the tractor onto my gooseneck. Is the trailer licensed and registered? (10/12/2008)
Response:
yes it is....very roadworthy....electric brakes are recently re-furbished. Dan (10/13/2008)
Question:
does the trailer go with the tractor?i will be in that area friday with an empty trailer to bring it back (10/8/2008)
Response:
yes the trailer goes with the tractor.....which Friday are you talking about....date please. (10/12/2008)
Question:
Can you wait until 10/21 to move this tractor/trailer? Will be in area w/F350 dually on way back to NC. Let me know so soon as possible so I can put you in the schedule. Please check my feedback and let me know. Chris (10/13/2008)
Response:
Yes...that is possible. However, I will be in Virginia then....the tractor is on my friends farm in Mount Pleasant PA. If you don't mind picking it up without me present then it's ok with me. The trailer is licensed and registered....newly re-furbished electric brakes. What is your cost estimate? Dan (10/13/2008)
Response:
No problem you not being there. I will have chains/binders to secure load/pre-trip trailer prior to leaving. Look forward to hearing from you. Chris (10/14/2008)
Question:
Hello Durango52, Robert here. Can you tell me when your ideal time frame would be? I'm lite this week and could get this handled right away if needed. (10/13/2008)
Response:
Ideal would be this Thursday/Friday. However, I'm a little concerned with your towing vehicle...this is quite a heavy load. Typically I'd like to see an F350 or better to tow....my friend has an F250 and he won't do it....what is the Triton like? Have you towed loads this big before? Just asking... (10/13/2008)
Response:
OK, I could do the dates. I certainly understand your thinking with the vehicle. Most people are not fully aware of the Excursion abilities. What most folks don't know is that the torque from the V10 is more than adequate to haul big loads and when paired with the heavy duty package (factory towing setup) is also equipped with the 1 ton rear axle and tranny cooler. They tell me the tranny is un-killable... I would never tow beyond my trucks ability and I have hauled 10K+ loads cross country many many times. The real question is whether I can do it affordably for you? What's your price target like? (10/13/2008)
Response:
OK....I've had bids of $600-700 but the dates haven't worked. (10/13/2008)
Response:
Are those bids from another venue? I only see 1 bid for $1,000. here and no other offers in your Q&A. I believe it is possible to do less than your current bid but it would be tough for me to get that low since I;ll be without my trailer to fill the return route. I might be able to get under $900.00 if that helps. Is the trailer ball or pintle (I have either as needed) just curious because pintle towing is best at lower speeds with the heavy tongue which means more time. I'd also like to know if the tractor was balance loaded or if I will need to adjust the load before trip? Will I be providing for tie down or is that already handled? (10/13/2008)
Response:
I got the bid from an earlier auction of $700 but the times didn't work so I cancelled. My friend would do it for $600 but again the times didn't work. If you could do it for $850 it's a deal. The trailer is a 10000 GVW with the large ball and of course electric brakes which I'm told were recently refurbished. I towed it to my friends farm with an F350 dump truck with no problems. It's a little heavy on tongue weight because of an accessory auger placed in the bucket....that could be moved but it is heavy. The tractor is secured with one large chain...another would'nt hurt for safety. When where you thinking of picking up and delivering. I could be there on pickup and my son could be down in VA for delivery. (10/14/2008)
Response:
That's what I figured. My calculations figure out a little higher than $850 but let me see what I can do. I have to sharpen my pencil a bit and add up all the associated costs. Getting it done Thurs./Fri. should not be any problem. (10/14/2008)
Question:
Hello, What model JD tractor is it? When can it go? Thank You (10/14/2008)
Response:
It's a 40 HP JD with front end loader and a Bradco backhoe on a trailer. I'd like to move it this thursday/Friday. (10/14/2008)
Response:
Ok, I'll bid the job. I've got a Ford tractor myself w/ bucket and backhoe and some other implements that I move all the time. Thanks (10/14/2008)
Question:
Hi, I am a legal hauler with cargo ins. I have an 07 dually diesel and a 25' flatbed but if I could do it asap I would consider going without my trailer. Is the trailer registered? My COMMERCIAL ins covers it. Please review my feedback. Thanks (10/14/2008)
Response:
trailer is registered and roadworthy...electric brakes...10000GVW. (10/14/2008)
Response:
Hi, is the plug the standard round 7 prong that plugs into late model trucks? Is the ball 2 5/16"? I could pick up tomorrow for 875, please review my feedback. Thanks (10/14/2008)
Question:
I went ahead and placed a bid for you to consider. I do expect to be out most of the day relocating travel trailers from a show here but should be returning online around 4:30 PM. (10/14/2008)
Question:
I forgot to write, your equipment would be pulled by my Dodge Cummins diesel, 1 ton dually, set up for transport. Thanks (10/14/2008)
Question:

I can pick up 10-15 or 10-16,your convience,I have a f-350 dully And have hauled many load that way much more than that with my truck.I can deliver for you late evining on 10-17 or early am on 10-18.let me know soon,so i can bid.can do for $825.00 (10/14/2008)
