Additional Information: This is not the actual tractor. The picture of the tractor with the front loader is very close. I included the other picture to show the length of the mower. The transport will have to take place on a weeKend day. The tractor is in Oakwood TX and needs to be moved to Houston TX. Weight is approx. Report a Violation

Questions for this shipment: 

Question: What model and make is your tractor? I have an 18 ft 10,000 lb gross trailer which I move my Massey with front loader and shredder. It hangs off the back about 3 ft which is OK. Do you think your tractor is longer than that? If it measures 21ft or less, I can haul it and will be able to bid but cannot move it until after the third of Feb. Response: I know it is a Massey Ferguson, I'm not sure the model number. We measured from the bucket to the back and came to 17ft. The rest was I believe a little over 8ft for the mower. (1/16/2008)
Response: Thank you. I believe I can move this on my trailer. I have no problem moving my 231S MF with front loader and 6 ft shredder. I have ramps. I can do it any day after 26 Jan. Question: I think it would be a good Idea to ask everybody bidding on this item what kind of insurance they offer and if there A Licensed CARRIER or provide at least one of the Numbers TXDOT#, MC# , USDOT#. [removed – unrelated to services offered] Also it is against state and federal law to operate as a Carrier without proper state or Motor Carrier Authority and without commercial insurance. Question: I agree about the authority and insurance. Anybody can haul your tractor for you. However it is illegal to advertise as a carrier and not be registered with the proper authority. Those of us that try to make a living doing this have gone through all of the proper channels and obtained the proper authority and insurance. If you feel that it is worth taking the chance on a fly-by-nighter, then I wish you luck. Question: Hello shipper. I would still be interesed in moving your tractor. However, being in this business to try to make a living, it's hard to compete with the guys that are just going to hook up a lowboy trailer behind their daily driver truck and haul your tractor. Question: Action MMYL: I actually believe that I am best and able to complete this job for you. I have my own Authority, US DOT, all the proper Insurance, plates and tags. I have a 40-foot gooseneck trailer that can hold a maximum of 18,000 pounds. Also, I am very familiar with the area, and still have relatives living there. Please contact me if you are interested.
