Questions for this shipment:

Question: Thank you Laurie & Jim for the request. I am sure my loaded rate is more due to fuel prices going up again than you are looking at for cost. Also I am home for the holidays. I am not far from your great tractor. You will get low bids but not better service. Please let me know what you have in mind ? Thanks Ron (12/17/2006)
Response: I had to relist the tractor b/c I didn't know the rules about no email or phone info...so I missed your bid. Just got this question. What is your 'loaded rate' Our target is around $1,000 (12/17/2006)
Question: Laurie I responded with a quote in your earlier listing. Did you receive it? (12/17/2006)
Response: No, I did not receive it. Please bid again. Thank you (12/17/2006)
Question: Hi, we could pick up your tractor Thursday 12-21, and deliver Wednesday 12-27. The trailer is a flatbed with ramps. We are a 5 truck company with all insurance, etc... The target is a little low but will do. Excellent service and communication during transport. I will bid $1000 below. Thanks, Rich (12/17/2006)
Response: Very interested. Need to talk with seller to see when he is able to be available. Will be in contact with him Monday afternoon...and get back with you then. Thank you, Laurie (12/17/2006)
Question: I did not bid. My rate is a minimum of $ 1.00 P/M. You will get it transported for a lot less than your target if you hold out long enough. A lot of hungry carriers. (12/17/2006)
Question: Thank you for your bid request, it is appreciated. I would not be able to get it delivered until shortly after New Years. My price would be $1,190 all inclusive of commercial cargo insurance and all other transport related costs. I'm a US DOT compliant motor carrier located not far from Collinsvile. If you're interested please let me know and I'll make a formal bid with more exact dates. Thank you (12/17/2006)
Question: Shucky shucky darn... just went from Mesa through Payson..... saves us 70 miles, but not advised if it is snowing.... delivered one in Farmington, St Louis and onto Wi.... Can grab it after the first of the year or sooner if we find some sort of headhaul after Christmas. Your target is right on the money. Hit us again with a message if she is still sitting after the 25th. We haul new Rvs and new John Deere tractors out of Indiana to the West and Southwest. Regards, TFD, Mickeys Transportation. (12/17/2006)
Response: UPDATE ---Tractor available to be picked up 12/28-12/30 or later dates dependent on availability of seller. You still interested? (12/18/2006)
Question: not in the area, but appreciate the chance to do business with ya! stepdecker (12/17/2006)
Question: Hi there! This is Becky with CALL2HAUL! Thank you so much for the request to bid! My husband will be delivering a jet engine right after the new year (picking it up in Fl on the 9th/10th) to Phoenix! We are looking for a backhaul, and might be able to do this for you! Can you verify the length and the weight for me? I will need to know this in order to know if I can place a bid! As long as weight and length are within our limits, we would be happy to do this for your target price! Please ask me any questions you may have and I will be happy to answer them for you! Thank you again, and I look forward to hearing from you and seeing if we can be of assistance with this shipment! May you be blessed, and have a Merry Christmas! Becky (12/17/2006)
Response: I see from your info sheet that you do not offer insurance. If, by some chance, there is an accident and the tractor is damaged or destroyed, where does that leave us? Are you DOT carriers? If so, please give me the number. Thank you and God bless and Merry CHRISTmas. Laurie (12/22/2006)
Question: i am leaving for CA tomm and will be in IL this weekend. would that work?? let me know. racingjoe66 (12/18/2006)
Response: Missed this message. Sorry. Seller is out of town for holidays until 12/28. Does that work for you? If so, please place bid and be sure to let me know your DOT # and the coverage our tractor would have should there be an accident. Our homeowners does not cover accidents on this item. (12/21/2006)
Question: i can do this anytime your ready. you will have to pay for the tiltbed tow truck to load the tractor and unload the tractor this usurally runs 35 to 75 dollars per side. i will bid as an ltl shipment. this will take1 to 10 days to load and transport although from az i can usurally get this done same day and have to you on the 2nd mornning from loadding. the rate is below so add that plus the loading and unloading and i think youll find im real reasonable. thanks freighttec (12/18/2006)
Response: The tractor runs so it can be driven on/off of a trailer w/ ramps. Freighttec is a broker...so the references may be from different haulers. Pls. tell me about you...where are you out of? How many years hauling? Equipment that will be used with this job. Do you have proof of insurance that will cover our tractor from pickup to delivery? Also, what is your driving record like? Thank you. Laurie (12/18/2006)
Question: Just want to let you guys know, that all bids placed through uShip are supposed to be ALL INCLUSIVE, with no extra charges. This is to ensure you do not get any surprises in the end! (12/18/2006)
Response: Thank you for the heads up. Will keep you in mind. Have a very Merry CHRISTmas (12/18/2006)
Question: Be careful Laurie ! (12/18/2006)
Question: WELL I HAVE BEEN IN THE TRUCKING ALL MY LIFE GREW UP IN IT I HAVE A LITTLE OVER 3 MILLION MILES ON MYSELF. yOUR RIGHT WE ARE BROKERS AND THE RESPONSES LEFT ON MY PROFILE ARE FROM SHIPPERS THAT WE HAVE HAULED FOR. WERE NEW ON HERE ABOUT TWO TO THREE WEEKS OLD. WE CARRY 100 THOUSAND CARGO AND I MILLION AUTO LIABILITY. SO I THINK YOUR CARGOS COVERED IF YOU WANT A TRAILER WITH RAMPS IT WILL BE A DAY OR TWO EXTRA BUT IM SURE THAT WONT BOTHER YOU. MY PACKET I SEND UPON ACCEPTANCE OF THE CONTRACT HAS OUR INSURANCE AND A 2 PAGE CONTRACT AS TO WHAT YOU WILL PAY AND HOW AND THAT YOUR EQUIPMENT IS COVERED THANKS FREIGHTTEC (12/18/2006)
Response: Who will be actually picking up the tractor and delivering it to us? What kind of equipment? How do you screen your drivers? Maybe I'm confused...does freighttec have actual contracted independent employees, or do you just connect drivers with jobs? Where are your offices located? Thanks. (12/18/2006)
Question: Laurie, I love the way you do that! Merry CHRISTmas indeed!! Blessings! (12/18/2006)
Question: Laurie, a broker farms out your shipment to another carrier. Some good & some not just like us non brokers. (12/18/2006)
Question: 168" or 14ft, Is that the entire length from the rear of the ganon to the front of the bucket as it lays on the trailer deck ? (12/18/2006)
Response: Hi again. Apparently the length of the tractor w/loader and box blade is 17'6". Both attachments can be removed and stored alongside or on top of the tractor (with plenty of protective padding). The dates have changed...pick up after 12/28. The guy we bought the tractor from is willing to accomodate the hauler (but he's out of town for Christmas). Winning bid will get his contact information to coordinate time and place. Payment on receiving end. Keep in touch. Thanks, Laurie (12/18/2006)
Question: Thanks for the reply Laurie. I am trying to lock in two other shipments to your area for January. If I am sucessful I will transport for your target & nothing will have to be removed. I am not a broker as you can see in my profile & do not accept any payment until you are satisfied with my service. Have a good evening. (12/18/2006)
Question: Can this be picked up the last of the first week in Jan? I will be in AZ coming back to IL. Thanks Be sure to check out my feedback. Thanks (12/19/2006)
Question: Hello I do all my hauling myself on a 30ft gooseneck. I am fully insured at no extra cost to you. Please take the time to view my feedback. Thanks (12/19/2006)
Response: Are you interested in bidding on this job? Looks like pickup will have to be 12/28 or after...you would coordinate with the seller of the tractor. See description for length and weight. Tractor implements can be removed if length is an issue. (12/21/2006)
Question: Quite a ordeal isn't this. Merry Christmas. Ron (12/21/2006)
Response: How right you are. Two weeks ago I had never heard of Uship and now it is consuming my time trying to connect with a reputable, reasonable hauler. Am checking DOT numbers and insurance coverage...anything else I should be doing? Thanks and have a Merry CHRISTMAS. Laurie (12/21/2006)
Question: Laurie: Thank you for your request for a bid, although I believe it may have been on a previous listing of your tractor. I'm a fully insured, legally licensed, US DOT compliant motor carrier based about 75 miles southeast of you in Missouri. I would be interested to transport your tractor if the first week of January would be an acceptable time frame. I can't quite meet some of your offers, but if your primary interest is in the safe and secure delivery, I'll provide you worry free service. My all inclusive price would be $1,190 including insurance. You would have unlimited direct contact with me throughout the transit and I send email progress reports every evening. I would securely transport your tractor on an open goose neck flatbed trailer with loading ramps. If you're interested please feel free to check my profile and credentials. I'm also pretty easy to find on the internet. Thank you // Don @ SEMO Motor Transport Service (12/21/2006)
