Additional Information:
Plane is already loaded on the trailer but isn't tied down yet. I'd prefer shipping to Michigan but a partial route would be considered as well.
Questions for this shipment:
Question:
I can take it the whole way on its own trailer for 2000. thank you we are fully insured and DOT legal. (6/1/2009)
Question:
what are the sizes of the pieces?? (6/2/2009)
Response:
Both pieces are nearly 8ft long and about 18ft wide. It should fit without being oversized. The motor is removed and is another 4ft x 4ft piece. The trailer that it is loaded on is designed for the plane to fit. (6/3/2009)
Question:
I need more information than you supplied. Our trucks run this area every week hauling aircraft parts from factory. (6/2/2009)
Response:
What information do you need? This plane splits in half, essentially 8ft long and 18ft wide. Should fit without being oversized. There is also the engine and cowl halves. It is on a trailer designed for hauling the plane. (6/3/2009)
Question:
how about if I get to to about Iowa for you? Thanks, John Plato -Mountain Man Helicopter (6/3/2009)
Response:
I'd be interested in that possibility, cuts the trip in half for me. Thanks, Jeff (6/3/2009)
Response:
Jeff, I'll be leaving northeastern Oregon Sunday, so I could make the drive to Cottage Grove to pickup monday and can deliver anytime. I can store the trailer until you are ready to meet me sometime. I'll need to know fairly quick so I can arrange my trip accordingly. Also, is it a 2" ball for the trailer? Thanks, John Plato -Mountain Man Helicopter Hauling (6/3/2009)
Question:
Good morning. I'm going to be headed back from the west coast 6/7. If it is loaded on a road worthy trailer I can tow to OH for you $1,700 but I need to know ASAP so I can bid??? (6/4/2009)
Response:
Trailer is roadworthy, just had tires swapped out. Plane needs to be tied down still but is loaded on trailer. (6/7/2009)
Response:
Got it. I am already headed east. (6/7/2009)
Question:
What is the total lenght of the trailer the plane is on? I can tow a second trailer as long as it is no longer than 21' from the tip of the tounge to the very back including overhanging cargo. Thanks, Mike (6/5/2009)
Response:
Unfortunately it is over this length. Thanks for your interest, Jeff (6/6/2009)
Question:
I'd like to get this done for you and I'm here on the west coast. If you don't think my bid is fair for 2000 miles travel then make me an offer??? I'd rather haul this for you than come home with an empty hook. (6/6/2009)
Response:
Make me your best offer and I'll go from there. Currently $1400 is the best on the table. (6/7/2009)
Response:
Well, I did have a bid in and it was the lowest bid at the time. I am already headed east so now I am 200 miles further away. The best I could do would be $1,500 but I would need to know now as I will be 60 more miles further away every hour that passes... (6/7/2009)
Question:
uShip has granted me a one time free fee shipment. The first shipper to accept my bid will be receive the benefits of this (6/6/2009)
Question:
I can do door to door for $1400 if I can tow behind my car! I can tow up to 2500 lb. Please click on my name and review my 100% positive feedback!! (6/6/2009)
Response:
The guy who I am buying the plane from originally pulled it with a motorcycle also on the trailer from NY to OR with a Chevy Corsica. The 1500lbs is rounding up as the plane only weighs 640lbs plus whatever the trailer is. (6/7/2009)
Response:
Thanks for your response! I can pickup June 12th for $1400! Would you like me to submit a formal bid? Please click on my name and review my 100% positive feedback!! (6/7/2009)
Question:
So, are you not shipping anymore? I am waiting for your response so I can decide to drive south or east?? (6/6/2009)
Response:
I haven't paid the seller yet as I didn't know if I was going to pick it up myself, I honestly don't want to drive that far. It won't be ready on 6/7 because of that but I can take care of it Monday morning. (6/7/2009)
Response:
How much is owed to the seller? If I turn around I could be there Monday morning but the lowest price I can offer would be $1,500. (6/7/2009)
Question:
Hi again Jeff. I just did the calculations and as of now I am 400 miles away from your pick up. If you can get this paid Monday morning I can head that way now. I can deliver to Michigan for $1,700 or meet in Toledo for $1,500. Please let me know ASAP as I am headed east and will have added 600 miles by the end of today... (6/7/2009)
Response:
No thanks, I don't want to inconvenience you and set you back a day. (6/7/2009)
Response:
Jeff, it's no inconvenience and you're not setting me back a day. The decision is regarding my distance to get to the pick up and whether I turn south or keep heading east... I'm waiting at the turning point now... (6/7/2009)
Question:
If you are interested I could meet you outside of Chicago for $1100! (6/7/2009)
Response:
Even though you're using your car the commercial insurance should still cover everything right? If so, please submit a bid for this arrangement. Thanks, Jeff (6/8/2009)
Question:
wish i could help but i won't be out there anytime soon (6/7/2009)
Question:
Oh well, I tried. Too bad we couldn't get something together for this shipment. I really hate having an "empty" hook en route... I would have worked with you on reasonable pricing if you'd made me an offer. If you change your mind please advise as I'm leaving Spokane now? Otherwise, good luck... (6/7/2009)
