MC number preferred. Please make bids including all costs (permits, etc), no hidden charges. I understand I'll be paying the marinas on both end separately to load and unload the boat from the trailer.

Please clarify what kind of trailer you use.

Question: Hello shipper we can offer to transport your boat door to door for you direct freight for $4260.00 We are a boat shipper and the equipment we use to ship boats is only used to ship boats. All boats we ship are covered by insurance and we have not had a claim in over 300 successful shipments. We only use custom built cradles to carry the boats we ship. This puts the weight of the boat along the entire hull as opposed to just a few jack points of contact. We usually ship large yachts and high value boats but also offer small boat shipments. Response: Thanks for the offer. However I'll tell you that none of the bids that are active right now beat the bid I have (outside of Uship), from a transporter I used last year to move my previous boat. (5/19/2008)

Response: Obviously I can't consider it unless you bid, right? I need to know, if you bid, the time frame for pickup and delivery and whether your price includes all costs (including permits and anything else)... Other than loading and unloading which of course I'll pay the marinas to do. (5/22/2008)

Response: Yes that is the lowest we can go however we would need to submit our bid for a boat inspection first this is the first step to moving a boat were we can get a look at it to see what additional steps if any need to be taken to be sure of its safe delivery. If that is acceptable we will fax over or give you our invoice for the cost of shipping $3880.00 less the inspection and we are good to go. (5/22/2008)

Response: Just looking to get the best price I can from someone I can trust. I do have a standing quote at the moment that is lower than current lowest active Uship quote. Boat is getting surveyed TOMORROW (Tuesday) and I'm looking for someone to move it at the end of May or first week of June at the latest. If you bid, please include info about your trailer, and please bid INCLUDING all permits and any other fees. Also please include availability. (5/19/2008)

Response: Well, if I had finalized the purchase in time, JonMar here seems like they would have beat that bid pretty good! Only issue with non-Uship transporter is they are checking on truck availability, as I couldn't jump on it as the purchase wasn't complete. They'll let me know after the holiday weekend. If they can do first week of June I'll probably go that way unless someone here that seems trustworthy beats their price. (5/21/2008)
