McAllen, TX 78501 to Anchorage, AK 99507. Need to move approximately 45 boxes and some furniture. Approximating load of 1500 pounds or less. Most items are already packed. THe only items that need to be packed and wrapped are: 5 - frames/wall hangings, a 4-pc lightweight sofa, 1 - lounge chair (zebra), 1 - 6 seat dining table and table leaf, 1 - king size mattress and box spring (comes with a platform as it is really an "olympic queen, cannot use without this platform). I am flexible on the move dates and I'm interested in a move date between December 10th to January 15th. I am interested in having the load wrapped on a pallet. In the pics below, the mattress is standing against some boxes. The boxes are behind it.

Response: 48x40 and 7 feet tall would be ok11/14/2011Report a Violation
Response: Well, the items are in one 10x10 storage unit and half of of another 10x10. So I would need, worst case scenario enough pallets to cover about 20x20 square feet storage units, maybe 20x15. How many pallets would that be?11/14/2011Report a Violation
Response: oh so you need a half truck load?11/14/2011Report a Violation
Response: Depends on size of truck...guy at the storage said that size of storage should equal what a 10x15 or max 10x20. Only 1500 pounds worth, if that. 11/15/2011Report a Violation
hi shipper, would you be open to us transporting your items to Alaskan Marine Lines in Seattle? We would deliver to AML, your move would be containerized and barged to Anchorage. We did that same transaction for a family in Juneau (from Vegas) and were very impressed with AML's operation. If you would like that option, our bid would be for loading in McAllen, blanket wrap, shrink wrap, transport to Seattle, delivery to AML and loading the container. You could make the arrangements with AML. Goods do not have to be palletized for transport to Seattle. We will palletize at AML if needed. What is your budget for this move? Report a Violation
Response: I'm taking bids so shoot me a number bid! I'd like it palletized in McAllen if possible. 11/14/2011Report a Violation
Response: our bid is for $1700 from McAllen to Seattle. Blanket wrap, shrink wrap all furniture. Moving pads stay on furniture during shipment from Seattle to AK. Delivery to AML in Seattle, loading in container in a fashion that protects all items, palletization to occur in Seattle, if needed. Cost of AML not included. Let us know if you're interested in our services. Early booking suggested to assure shipping within your preferred timelines. 11/15/2011Report a Violation
Thanks for your bid request. I have moved the household goods of a family in San Antonio to a container in Seattle bound for June. I may be able to get a better rate palletizing but I can make decisions about the number of pallets until I try to get them in one and if you are wrong on the weight it could be more expensive or less... I can bring a 26ft truck in your time frame if you want me to bid, I could bid for 2/3 of the truck. Let me know what you prefer. Report a Violation
