Response: Yes, I have the capability to load and off load your entire package. The reason I have not submitted my offical bid is I'm waiting on another customer to confirm his transport for this trip. I should have confirmation from him by the end of tomorrow. Response: Hello Shipper. I find myself too far from your boat to fight the tolls and tow with a profit. I caught a load to Fl. But I was wondering how you felt about those numbers which I don't have. and I'll tell you why. Yes its illegal to carry these boats for hire over state lines but I don't find it enforced, not that they wont pin it on you should you get caugh doing a gross violation of some safty standard or recklessness. But I don't think pick ups are going through the weigh stations very often or at all and I think those with the numbers aren't going through the stations and don't keep logbooks on their boat hauls or they would be slowed to about 700 miles a day, a 2800 mile trip would be 4 days with no incidents, we follow the 10 hrs on 10 off policy, we do about 1000 miles a 30 hour day in 14 to 16 hrs, if your not going to follow the trucking rules why have the #'s. Guess it comes down to a personal choice of risk management. We have cargo insuence to cover our loads. Whiteline88 (11/10/2009)
