Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hi there I could bring this to London Ontario for $ 450.00 or to Cambridge for $ 600.00. My Truck is leaving Florida tomorrow. Thanks Marcus (5/20/2008)
Response: Hi Marcus, Cambridge for $600 would be ideal but if necessary we could pick up in London. By tomorrow did you mean Wed or Thursday? I couldn't see whether you posted last night or this AM. I think that we can manage either. I can call you whenever you are free. Dave Sparling (5/21/2008)
Question: If I have something else to take to florida I could do it for $500. You must have a broker in place and paid for or be a returning Canadian before loading. It is not possile to bring things into Canada otherwise. (5/25/2008)
Response: Hi, $500 would be fine. The furniture is actually my father-in-law's and I am just arranging this for him. He is Canadian and sold his place in Florida. He made the table in Canada and took it down. Chairs are antiques bought there (they have plaques on the bottom that say 1904 and we have the receipt). Second table also antique and also taken from Canada to Florida. I'll check into a broker or is this something that could be arranged when you know you are going. Thanks, Dave (5/25/2008)
Response: Us and Canada do not charge import taxes on 100 year old items. Yours qualify vut you would still need abroker if it was a purchase for sale tax but since it is a family item it gets complicated. If I was bringing them for you to the US I just need to proof thatyou are a US citizen or legal resident and use form 3299 but Canadian customs want the inmigrant or returning Canadian to come to the border or it has to be brought it by a bonded carrier. They do not like broker involved on household moves. I am doing a small furniture move to NS and the shipper is choosing to use a broker and pay the tax so he does not have to drive 400 miles to the border. It is up to you. I can't remember how far you are from the borde. So you decide. I have PARS labels. (5/25/2008)
Response: Hi, Thanks for the info. We're less than two hours from the border at Buffalo (Peace Bridge) so meeting you on the US side is not that difficult. We'll check with Canada customs and see what our options are. Dave (5/26/2008)
Response: Ok. I am in Winnipeg and driving towards NS. I must be in Tennessee before June 4th and it is been so windy and rainy that I have had to drive slow so I am little behind. If I can not do it on this trip maybe next. (5/26/2008)
Response: Hi, We've checked into the customs and it will likely be best if we simply meet in Buffalo and then load it into our van so that we bring it across. No rush on timing for the load. Let me know if this works for you sometime. Thanks, Dave (5/26/2008)
Response: If we do it this way then I will reduce my bid if you do not make me wait at the border. At this point I am not sure if I will have other things going into Toronto. I am roaming here in Nipigon so I can't relax to make a bid. (5/26/2008)
Response: We can arrange to meet at one of the outlet malls on the way into Buffalo and set a time. Then we can head down a bit early and shop until you get there. You could simply call my cell when you get close and we can meet and unload. That way we stay away from any confusion at the border and make sure that you aren't delayed. Cheers, Dave (5/27/2008)
Response: I wil lmake the bid as soon as I know that I will be in Florida. Thans. Keep your listing active. (5/27/2008)
Response: Sounds good. Dave (5/28/2008)
Question: We have a truck headed to NY today. We can make this shipoment right away for you. (6/23/2008)
Response: Thanks but we can't arrange it for today. Dave (6/23/2008)
Response: What about tomorrow? (6/23/2008)
