Response: I used my GPS to calculate my distance from Manassas Virginia to the Seller's town of Crofton MD. I am scheduled to make my drop in Virginia on 7/23 late in the day. Crofton is about 60 miles +/- and about an hour 1/2 drive. How late on Wed Night, or the earliest on Thurs Morning - could your seller accommodate my arrival? (7/20/2008)

Question: To properly evaluate your shipment, please tell me what you are looking to spend, to get this dining set to it's destination. Also, if we pick up this week, how flexible are you with delivery. It's a long run to Maine, if we run this furniture solo, and without anything else going that way, or a return load to offset the total cost of a trip, required to get this from "Point A" to "Point B" - as I'm sure you can appreciate. Response: I see you are online now, so I'm trying to keep this dialog going. I think I can be of service, but need to research a few things. The "Wife" and I like coming to Maine for a weekend now and then, and we could bring it in August sometime, but My pickup at Origin would have to be mid-week - this coming wed/thurs timeframe, while I'm heading northbound. Since your flexible on delivery, once I'm back in NY State, I can transfer this down to something more economical to finish the delivery with. Also - I can adequately protect it, no problem as I'm an experienced furniture handler and have the right equipment. Where do you guys like to come when you visit Maine? I am one of the organizers of the Great Falls Balloon Fetival (hot air balloons) which is here in Lewiston/Auburn the weekend of August 15,16,and 17. We have lots to do over the weekend, 30 +/- balloons launching twice daily and lots of great entertainment.... you can check out the website --greatfallsballoonfestival.com. Response: If you want, and we come together on this, you can pay US via a credit card for convenience for the shipping arrangement, and add in the cost of the dining set, and we will pay the seller on pick up if you like. Response: In order to pick up this week, she has requested cash as she will not have time to allow a check to clear....not a problem, I have a contract from her. It is a used set, our agreement is that it is as in the picures and as described. (7/20/2008)

Question: Tell the seller we'd be picking up in a large truck, typical of what is commonly used by furniture delivery applications - will there be any issue at her address to get the truck into position to load? Are there any stairs involved to make the pick-up? (7/20/2008)

Here are the answers to the questions from the seller:
1- Wednesday they an arrive as late as 1030pm, or as early as 530am. The evening is better, as we won't run the risk of having to rearrange work schedules.
2- As for the delivery truck, the best option is to park behind my house, on Duke of Kent Street. Please tell the shipper to call when they are close and we can meet them out back. Loading out the back door would eliminate the stairs issue, as well.
3- The base and table top are removable. We dismantled it after taking the CL photos, and can leave it that way for ease of storage/move if you'd prefer.

Response: Mell - Here's how it works. Once we submit to you a bid for consideration - If and when you accept it, and are agreeable to the terms- USHIP will forward you information on how to contact me directly. They will also process a portion of the total bid at the time you "Accept a Bid" collectng from you which in essense "BINDS OUR CONTRACT" based on the bid and our dialog here online with USHIP System. Then, you pay us "the service provider" the balance of additional agreed amount to equal the total of the bid. We will exchange direct contact information at that point, and my wife who handles the accounting here will contact you, provide you an invoice for payment, take your credit card # etc...... It's all pretty easy, and secure for you. (7/20/2008)

This is quite complex.....I did get a warning from uship regarding a number, as I left the seller's in my response to you. I then deleted the number and resent it. Response: Hi Again - I see that USHIP Failed to post my last reply. They also deleted your last inquiry also, if you noticed? I did get a warning my reply that it contained subject matter in violation of USHIP Policy, but I didn't feel it did. I have reviewed your comments here this am, and I'm going to "Officially" give you a bid now to pick it up. I always like to be sure about things and our ability before we give a price, as I value keeping my feedback 100% positive.
