Thanks Jill (10/28/2009)

Response: That will work perfect. We are flexible. (10/28/2009)

Response: I have a carrier so you don't need 1 . I will put a bid in what are you wanting to spend? Check out my feedback from others.
Jill (10/28/2009)

Response: $100 to $150 (10/28/2009)

Response: I will be heading back up as I said after Thanksgiving if that works let me know. I could do it for 200.00 if you can meet in Billings is that a possibility.
Thanks Jill (10/29/2009)

Response: Sounds great. I work during the day so it would work best for me to meet you in the evening on weekdays, if possible. I will work with your schedule, however. What do I need to do in preparation? (10/29/2009)

Response: No problem we can figure out when later. You only need to accept and then they give #s and we can talk or email. I have a kennel for him and bowls so really no preparation. I will get the bid in
Thanks Jill (10/29/2009)

Response: Great. (10/29/2009)

Question: Hi shipper, thank you for your interest in our services and for requesting our bid. I see by another posting you are hoping to get this done for $100-150. To be honest, it will be difficult to find any ground transporter willing to travel into MT this time of year for that price. Hope you understand, most of us do have to travel with several pets at once in order to make it affordable and the chance of road closures & extreme driving conditions with other clients pets make it not possible to risk everyone's safety. Been there and done it and thank goodness all worked out, but a 2 day trip turned out to be 5 days. We would be able to provide a private transport which means we would only travel with your pet but pricing would be far more then $150. Please let us know if interested, if not, good luck and safe travels for your cat. (10/28/2009)

Response: I based my response of wanting to spend $100 to $150 on information I received about the average being about $160 for a shipment like mine. I am willing to spend more but I think as far as cost, the best option will be to use someone with multiple animals to transport who are coming this way anyway. As I mentioned, however, my dates are very flexible. Thanks for your response. (10/29/2009)

Response: Thanks for filling me in. I was unaware of any resouce on this venue that gives an "average" price. That is really misleading...In the USDA LICENSED pet transport industry, an average price for any feline traveling under 1000 miles ranges from $300 to $425 with fuel charges on distances over the 1000 miles and that is with multiple passengers traveling together. Unfortunately, this time of year, most experienced licensed pet transporters will not service many of the northern states unless they are offering private transports. Just too much liability as road closures and dangerous driving conditions are inevitable. it's virtually impossible to find lodging with more then 2 animals and leaving any animal unattended in vehicles is totally unacceptable for any licensed transporter. Watching the weather channel this morning and extreme winter condition are already hitting many states. Good luck and safe travels for your kitty. (10/29/2009)
